I booked and prepaid for a superior double room with ensuite bathroom and city view at Hotel San Lorenzo. It was supposedly a 250 euro room discounted by 70%. I was really looking forward to my stay because both the location of the hotel and the promotional photos of the stylish rooms promised looked perfect for me. And I particularly... More

I stayed at this hotel for five nights in July with my three children (ages 11-18). All sights of Florence are within a 15 minute walk including the train station. Our host had a great personality. He gave us a map and marked routes to some sights. He spoke several languages so communication was easy. This hotel is near the... More

There's four flights of stairs and no elevator to get to the reception desk which was ok once we got to the top. We ended up with a share bathroom which we had not expected, and this bathroom was small and 'old'. The room we received was on the top floor, however in the attic with a slanted ceiling causing... We paid for superior room ... Was given a shoe box with a bed that had insects all over it ... When we questioned the room they said this is all they had left even though we had paid for a superior room .... Check out photo we took of the room we were give. verse the photos they have... More

Mixed reviews for this hotel, Perfect location :-) , Poor Breakfast, No elevator (but no problem for us) good hospitality. Beds really comfortable. Personally i would stay here again if it were only a few days to revisit the sites but would consider staying elsewhere if going for longer for comfortability factor

firstly our room is clearly meant to be a room for 2, however there are 5 of us so they've squeezed extra beds in so there is no room and I am sleeping on a couch! secondly the hot water in the shower only lasts about 2 minutes until going cold. and thirdly, with our booking, we got free bike... The maid service is terrible. We stayed here for 4 nights and our sheets were not changed once! The floor in the bathroom was never cleaned and there is no shower curtain. You have to climb several flights of stairs to get to your room so if you aren't able to haul your luggage forget this place. Came back to... More

You enter from the street to a stone stairway of 45 stairs! Once you have reached the top, dragging your luggage, and catching your breath--you enter to a very, very small reception area. Lorenzo was quite friendly, he greeted us, gave us map of sites to see and escorted us to our room. The room (#9) was very small--and poorly... More

We stayed for 3 nights (December 7/10, 2013) in hotel San Lorenzo. I booked a triple room (53 euros/night/room), for me and my friends, and I wrote to the hotel asking them for either a smoking room, a room with balcony or easy access to a smoking place. We reached the hotel, which is located on the second floor of... More

Just for a week-end but very pleasent place, close to main city attractions. Walking through main streets of shopping you can watch better historical corners of this ancient town. Close to the hotel you can also have a tour into Cover Central Market, you can find all better typical foods of Tuscany. Just close to the hotel you can have... More
