Hotel is situated very close to the station so there is no need for a long hike with bags. It is ideally situated for the city centre and all other sites, Florence is only small and easy to get around from here. Room was clean, with a small outside roof top terrace which was great in early evening. breakfast is... More

After travelling by train to Florence from Venice, we were glad to find that Hotel Joli was located near the main railway station with only a short walk required. The hotel which seems to be family operated is located on the third floor of an older style sandstone building. After travelling in a very old but delightful lift (one of... More

We stayed at Hotel Joli for 3 nights at the end of June. To our delight our room was very spacious and the bed very comfortable. The bathroom was clean and the shower worked really well. Although Florence was experiencing very hot temperatures, the air conditioning worked perfectly. The staff (Giovanni, Marinella and Chiara) were so welcoming and did everything... More

Located close to the station and everything we wanted to see. Beautiful room with air conditioning, nice bathroom with a great shower (rare in some places visited) and good hot water supply. The staff were so friendly and helpful. The breakfast was wonderful - lovely baked goodies, delicious fruits, choice of hot and cold foods. Highly recommended. Only issue was... More

Very European hotel on the third floor. Our room was spacious and very clean. The Joli is family owned. All of the staff are friendly and very accomodating. Breakfast is wonderful - everything from eggs to amazing pastry to endless cappichino. The hotel is an easy walk to the train station, a leather market and an endless number of restaurants.... More

The hotel is well positioned, is clean, the staff is nice, but the best thing about it is the 5 star breakfast with fresh pizza, omelet cake, home made tiramisu and other delicios cakes, etc. Congratulazioni!

We visited this hotel for 3 nights with husband. The hotel located near city centre, so it's just 10-15 minutes by walk. We stayed at 1st floor, (little bit noisy but that was ok for us). The room was very clean, big, comfortable toilet and bathroom. When we went to breakfast I was really surprised by breakfast. The hotel is... More

Clean - friendly - comfortable, quiet bar & breakfast room - ideal location for enjoying all that Florence has to offer. Reasonably priced - what more can one possibly ask for? Given a choice, this is my #1 choice for lodging in Florence.

We only stayed one night in Oct 2014, but we enjoyed our stay. We had two children 8 and 11 in the same room and it didnt seem cramped. Beds and pillows were great. Some noise from outside but it didnt keep us awake. Loved the breakfast in the morning which was included. The hosts were really nice. The kids... More

Staying in San Lorenzo

Neighborhood Profile
San Lorenzo
San Lorenzo’s lively merchants shout out from behind stalls with an array of products in one of the most traditional neighborhoods in Florence. Different ethnic groups join together in the large outdoor market of San Lorenzo and in the Central Market, a vast multi-floored building. Visitors are bound to fall in love with this area and in particular, with its variety of food, especially those focusing on Florentine dishes as well as international selections. Nobody leaves San Lorenzo without a shopping bag in hand or with an empty stomach.
