1. The hotel is completely transparent in terms of sound - you will hear everything the receptionist and other guests are doing at all times. 2. Some of the receptionists are demoralized - enough so to sing aloud around midnight. I cannot ascertain whether the receptionist currently singing is drunk or not, but I'm going to lock door of my... This hotel is in a great location. Its about 10mins walk from the train station Santa Maria Novella train station. Just cross the main road. Its a straight walk to the hotel on Via Nazionale. You cross the Via Aprile. And the hotel is there. The hotel is on the 2nd floor. There is no lift. If you have heavy luggage... More

Walkable from the SMN station (around 1km). Easy to find. Centrally located. Good staff and decent breakfast. Good and helpful staff. No lift. Hotel located in second Floor. Wifi is available only in the lobby. But very slow and almost no signal inside the room.

We stayed for three nights and although the staff were very helpful and spoke English well that is about the only positive thing I could write about this hotel. Rooms ordinary bathrooms beyond tiny( think the size of your toilet to shower toilet and brush teeth)and three floors up with no elevator. Do yourself a favour pay a few Euro... More

Really wish i knew exactly how far away the hotel was from the train station then i wouldn't have spent more than 10 euros for a taxi when i could have walked it in 5 mins. The hotel in is actually set in a building alongside 2 others, the Genesio being in the middle. My only negative for this hotel... More

Off the bat disappointed with this hotel as soon as we stepped into the room. Apparently I should have looked at more photos since the ones I saw were not a good representation of our room at all. Very small room, so small the bathroom door can't even open half way because of the bed. While I was glad to... More

I really loved this hotel. Felt extremely comfortable and at home here from day one. I stayed here for a week and was on a fairly tight budget in terms of overall costs given I'm travelling round Europe for awhile and am budget conscious. So given its Florence and given I stayed for a week I think I got really... More

I really liked this hotel the room was big, the bed was comfortable and the decor was in an Italian style. The location was just under 10 minute walk to the main train station, the Duomo and other main sites were within a short walk. The breakfast was average. The only thing that let the hotel down was we could... More

I personally found it difficult to find. Its 9 Black! There are tiles on the wall scattered amongst other numbers, so LOOK UP and if you're arriving after sunset, the neon light on the side of the building is lit up. After this experience there were no problems finding it again. There is no elevator! I have a 30kg bag... More

The main guy at the front desk (Simone) was very helpful showing us things to do and how to get around. The hotel was simple and clean, and we got what we expected for something a little more affordable. The room was nice, we had our own working washroom, the free breakfast was ok (cereal, buns, various crackers and cheeses,... More

San Lorenzo
San Lorenzo’s lively merchants shout out from behind stalls with an array of products in one of the most traditional neighborhoods in Florence. Different ethnic groups join together in the large outdoor market of San Lorenzo and in the Central Market, a vast multi-floored building. Visitors are bound to fall in love with this area and in particular, with its variety of food, especially those focusing on Florentine dishes as well as international selections.
