Hotel is basic but comfortable and good service. Great location and a wonderful city. Bathrooms were always clean and breakfast is a good continental style. Staff are attentive and helpful, would definitely recommend and stay again.

Hotel was in a great location! However it doesn't have air conditioning and in the summer it was probably 85 degree in our room with no breeze. We had a shared bathroom, which is as expected...shared. This place might be better in the winter, but I would not return in the summer.

Great location, helpful staff, very clean & great breakfast ! Would recommend to friends. 2mins walk from Dumo & 5/10mins from most other major cultural attractions in Florence. Very safe area, near all types of shops as well. Good relevant local information & tour info in reception area. Very quiet at night considering it is so central.

Positives: -Really big rooms - ours was HUGE! High-ceiling and well maintained for the age of the building. You should definitely stay at least once for the unique experience. -Location right in the centre 1 min from the Duomo -Clean -Happy and polite staff -Good value for money Improvement points: -Better signage especially once you enter the building, it's not... We loved everything about our stay at Bavaria. Well, except for the shared bathroom, which meant you often had to wait to use the WC or the shower in the evenings & mornings. That is an inconvenience that that is overshadowed by the great service and helpfulness from the staff, the lovely rooms that were properly cleaned every day, the... More

Good hotel if you are on a budget. I am solo female traveler and felt very safe. Free wifi but only in the common area. No A/C but windows can open which helps. I did get a few bug bites, but I had to choose my battles. You do share a shower and toilette but each room has a sink.... More

The hotel is located on the 3rd floor that you find through an unmarked door. The rooms were large, sink included with a mirror and hair dryer. 2 shared bathrooms on the floor were not an issue. My sister and I never had to wait for one. Breakfast in the morning consisted of cereal, yogurt, canned fruit cocktail, bread (hard... More

Well, like the title says, the location is awesome. It's near everything (... well, Florence historical center is not that big ). You can easily use it as quick "recover" from a day on the town. The good: 1) Location, location, location 2) All staff that we meet and dealt were all very friendly and helpful (only dealt with the... More

During our stay it was in the 70-80 degree range and these units do not have air conditioning, ceiling fans, or breezes, so it got quite hot in the room. If you get a good deal on the room it is in a great location of Florence. You also have to keep your eye out when going to the hotel... More

Florence is quite arguably one of the finest cities in the world. Because of this, we wanted a place to stay that was centrally located for exploration. Based on location, reviews, price, and availability, we selected Hotel Bavaria for our stay. We arrived by train from Milan and walked from the train station to the hotel. On the way we... More
