Good service. I like the room. Very good location. I loved the breakfast. In the bedroom there was a shower. very comfortable. The matress was comfortable too. Clean room and sheets and towels. They gave us the guides to visit the city.

Great location in the center, special atmospehere in this historical buildng, no wi-fi even in the public areas. Poor breakfast - no variety and low quality. Common bathroom is clean. Very small room with no facilities. Friendly staff.

We were here for one night and had a really nice and quiet stay. It's unbelievable how quiet the room is. When we were outside on the street, we heard lots of noises, but once we were in our room, we didn't hear anything at all! For a reviving night's rest, this is the place to be. We had a... More

We stayed here for 3 nights late October. The hotel is up lots of steps and our room was right at the top but we had a fantastic view over the duomo. It's only around 5 mins from the duomo etc. 10 mins to the Uffizi - brilliant location. No air con but in October this was fine. The room... More

I stayed Hotel Bavaria with my family for 3 nights in early October. First good impression is the room. We felt that we stayed exactly like traditional Italian House. Room was clean and comfortable as well. After we came back to USA from trip, We found we left some souvenir and gift at the room. I contact the hotel by... More

We stayed in one of the rooms with ensuite for 3 nights in October. Despite no in-room wifi and 4 sets of stairs (which was a bit tough for my old mother), I would recommend Hotel Bavaria to anyone looking for a reasonably-priced place to stay in Florence, given its great location, spacious rooms, and competitive rates. Staff were mostly... More

We loved our stay at the Hotel Bavaria. While the shared bathroom was not our favorite, we knew this was what we signed up for when we booked, and it was kept quite clean. Breakfast was good, the staff were particularly pleasant, and the room was spacious. I would stay again!

Central location. Big spacious rooms. That's about it Staff not at all helpful , wifi only in dining area. Long wait to use bathroom , worst breakfast ever (bread , stale Croissant , packaged cake and juice) and never ending flight of stairs. Good luck entering and climbing stairs in the hotel at night , lights get switched off quite... More

Reasons why this might be the hotel for you: 1. You have the leg-muscles of a Tour de France cyclist and despise lifts/elevators as signs of modern decadence; 2. You have the perspicacity of a Sherlock Holmes and can tell at first glance in the dark that the entrance to a hotel may be marked by a single small keyhole... More

Location is excellent, very central. Room rates are more than reasonable for the location. Surroundings are very picturesque. Appreciated the decor and beautiful art around the hotel/ room. Brilliant view from my hotel room window, the Duomo. Rooms were fantastic, Only downside is that the walls are quite thin. Church bells woke me up on several occasions but I know... More

Staying in Duomo

Neighborhood Profile
Duomo
Florentia, as it was called by Latins, is permeated by an eternal beauty spread in all corners of the city. The historic center is characterized by the immensity of the Duomo, able to transport tourists into the brightest age of Florence: the Renaissance. Who does not know the Brunelleschi Dome, San Giovanni Baptistery and the Giotto’s Campanile? Everything is enclosed here and it would be easy to imagine the city as it was in ancient times, with maids walking in the main square and horses carrying coaches. Nowadays, roads are busy with street artists. Rustic Tuscan bakeries give way to fashion shops; just stop for a few minutes in the middle of Piazza della Repubblica to enjoy the colors and sweet melody of the carousel that will bring back great memories from anyone’s childhood.
