The hotel could probably use a bit of renovation, however my two night stay was perfect. The staff is exceptionally friendly and very keen to help at any moment. I would recommend this hotel if you're looking for a well located place to visit Florence.

I booked this hotel because of its convenience to the train station which was around a block from the hotel. I also looked at photos before booking and for around 100 euros a night, it seemed nice and clean. The elevator is 86 years old and the hotel is actually located on the 3rd floor but the reception is on... More

I stayed here for one night and it's ok if it is only for one night and you have no other option. Very basic room. The price we paid you could get a decent room in any 3/4 star hotel back in UK. Shared bathroom and toilet. No A/C. Stained sheets. I booked last minute and with the location was... More

I'm compelled to write this review as my expectations were so different from reality. We paid for a three star hotel and did not get anything close to that. If Ritz is 5 star, Marriott & Weston's 4 star, Hampton Inn & Courtyard 3 star, Microtel and Comfort Inn 2-star, then this is definitely a 1 star - or even... More

This is a pretty basic hotel and the room we were given had a door that actually wouldn't open all the way! And it was quite a long hallway walk to the bathroom, but it was clean and the breakfast was great and the staff were very helpful and nice. We actually liked the quaintness of the old metal lift... Had a quadruple room. Let's start with the positive, it is real close to the train station and the room is spacious, but that's about all the positives there are to say. Ok, now the bad parts. Toilet flush is a joke, maybe worse than medieval time, some string tied to toilet bowl, and can't even flush properly without lifting... More

It used to be the norm in Europe to have a shared bathroom down the hall, but any hotel today that still does this is a two star hotel at most. I'm used to no air conditioning (HOT on the 4th floor in July), that was not a big deal to me but the shared bathroom for an entire floor... More

The hotel was located in a sketchy area that I did not like. Pro: It was right beside the train station, but I found the area to not be lively and vibrant like the rest of Florence. I felt a bit unsafe to be in that area. Also, the washroom was tiny and didn't seem very clean (it wasn't dirty... More

Close to the train station and only 10 min walk to the major sites which was great. The hot water pressure was extremely low and often cold! Otherwise everything else was ok, and staff were helpful and friendly. We had our own bathroom but could smell the communal bathroom from the passageway outside our room so very glad we were... Stayed for 2 nights with my hubby during the 2nd week of May. Location: The hotel is near the railway station. Nearby the hotel we can easily find good dining places with yummy food. Places of interest are in walkable distances. The building that the hotel is in was rather eery.., we arrived after the sun had set and entering... More
