Stayed here in July 2015 for 4 nights. Was travelling solo. A little outside of the historic center, so a quiet location but still close to the lively part of the city. (10 minute walk from the SMN station, 10-15 min walk from the historic center). Very good staff, run by a family - very caring and always there to... More

Simple and cozy room with superb hospitality from a lovely family. A great park near by the hotel and music coming from a gramophone at the bar is very cool and I like it. Nice neighborhood and catch the sun from the room. Pleasant feeling of relaxation; I will be back to this place.

The proprietors are very friendly and accommodating. The hotel is clean and located in a convenient and quiet part of Florence. The walk from the train may be a challenge for people with a lot of luggage, but it was fine once we learned not to walk on the main road from the station. (There's a side street through the... As one of a mature couple (early 70s) travelling with friends in their late 30s, we were delighted by the Hotel Enza. While the Via Zenobi does not look picturesque, the hotel is 5 minutes from the Market and San Lorenzo and 10 to the bus and train stations at S. Maria Novella. There are bus stops nearby for Fiesole... More

Family was very friendly, made us feel welcome right from the get go. Room was generally clean although fluff was under the beds so the room hadn't been hoovered. Bathroom was spacious ( for two people) and all electrical appliances worked ok although one of the wall sockets was loose so we had to be careful when we were plugging... More

We stayed there two nights. The room was ok, with privet bathroom, and a single extra bed. The staff was great, very kind and helpful. The breakfast was good, but a little different that other hotels in Italy, as there were served many industrialized food. But anyway, it was good. The location is good, as it is closer to the... This was the most disgusting room I have ever been in as a traveler. We expected for E60 a night a clean and safe room. Walked in, paid, got the receipt. The room smelled like a dirty ashtray, the bathroom had no working lights, and there was no wi-fi as promised on the website. Opened the window to find dead... More

It's been entering 3months already I have been staying here, Enza. Traveling different countries for business could be quite stressful. It is not very easy communicating and working with people in different culture. Especially, this time, in Italy.. It has been 6 months already.... I had to go through different hotels in Milan and Florence and I was getting exhausted... More

Upon checking in the lady at the front desk was very nice and accomodating. My problem is that the room was just a little too basic. The rooms looked VERY dated, and needed to be updated. Upon reading recent reviews, they might have started with the renovations. My biggest gripe was that the wifi was basically nonexistant. Another huge gripe... More

We stayed for one night at the end of our trip to Italy. We had a "triple" room which contained a double and a twin bed. The room was very clean and pleasant, with a view of the street, and looked like it might have been recently renovated. The entire room was very clean and quiet. We kept the window... More

Staying in San Lorenzo

Neighborhood Profile
San Lorenzo
San Lorenzo’s lively merchants shout out from behind stalls with an array of products in one of the most traditional neighborhoods in Florence. Different ethnic groups join together in the large outdoor market of San Lorenzo and in the Central Market, a vast multi-floored building. Visitors are bound to fall in love with this area and in particular, with its variety of food, especially those focusing on Florentine dishes as well as international selections. Nobody leaves San Lorenzo without a shopping bag in hand or with an empty stomach.
