The location of "A Florence View" is perfect! It is right in front of the duomo and the square. You can walk all over Florence from this location. It is very close (3 minute drive) to the train station making it quite convenient upon arrival and departure. There are a LOT of steps and no lift so be prepared with... More

This is a B&B which spoils you. We stayed for 6 nights in the Cathedral View rooms floor (3rd floor). This looked directly out onto the Duomo and Baptistry. New double glazed windows cut out the noise from the Irish pub on the Piazza and the crowds in peak season. I am a light sleeper and it was no problem.... More

Great location with view of Duomo and great service. I had a conference so we did not spend a ton of time in the hotel, but to the extent we did, Guiliana was outstanding. I saw her helping many guests with detailed questions and she was very kind, pleasant and knowledgeable. Breakfast is served in the rooms here and she... More

It is right in the square, very close and walking distance to most of the attractions and shopping. 17th century building, so it is old no elevator. But they will help with your luggage. Fresh breakfast in the morning and nice coffee. clean rooms and Bathroom. Giuliana, runs the hotel, wonderful person.

This B&B is right near the Duomo but is quiet. We were greeted by Leonardo who is a wonderful proprietor. No request was too hard for Leonardo and he went out of his way to provide exceptional service. Also Leonardo gave great recommendations for dining and gelato. All of which were great! The breakfasts were also great. I would highly... More

The B&B has top location in Florence facing the Baptistery and Duomo. The hosts are very hospitable and gracious. Guiliana was was helpful making reservations to museums, suggesting places to visit that were hidden gems and restaurants to eat delicious Italian food. The breakfast was excellent and the price for the room was very good despite the busy tourist season.... More

We were there last week and it was just great. The location is top. You are everywhere in 20 min walking max. The staff is very friendly and helpful! Can only recommend it. Last but not least breakfast is served everyday with a little flower on the table in your room. If you have the room with the cathedral view... More

This is a great B & B. We had a perfect, close view of the Duomo and it is close to great shopping and restaurants. The rooms were lovely with refrigerator. The shower was amazing with changing colored lights! What fun. Breakfast was excellent as was the Italian coffee. Giuliana, the Owner, was gracious and very accommodating. Pricing was very... More

We stayed for 7 days & had a wonderful stay. The owner is fabulous and goes out of her way to make your stay the best. Fab breakfast which is brought to your room every morning. If ever we were to go back we would stay at Florence View.

Giuliana, the fluent English speaking owner of a Florence View, began our experience there months before we arrived by making ticket reservations for the best Florence Museums, even suggesting the best times to beat the crowds. We were given detailed instructions on how to get to the hotel from the train station, which is two stops by bus or a... More

Staying in Duomo

Neighborhood Profile
Duomo
Florentia, as it was called by Latins, is permeated by an eternal beauty spread in all corners of the city. The historic center is characterized by the immensity of the Duomo, able to transport tourists into the brightest age of Florence: the Renaissance. Who does not know the Brunelleschi Dome, San Giovanni Baptistery and the Giotto’s Campanile? Everything is enclosed here and it would be easy to imagine the city as it was in ancient times, with maids walking in the main square and horses carrying coaches. Nowadays, roads are busy with street artists. Rustic Tuscan bakeries give way to fashion shops; just stop for a few minutes in the middle of Piazza della Repubblica to enjoy the colors and sweet melody of the carousel that will bring back great memories from anyone’s childhood.
