We stayed here for three nights in June and I'll start with the positive. It has a certain charm and is clean and comfortable. It is also in a great location and the rooms are airy and quiet although street noise can intrude when the windows are open. The downsides are that the towels are changed only every three days... more

Hotel Cestelli is located in a fantastic location, close to the Duomo. It's a no frills hotel run by a lovely couple. Asumi was incredibly helpful and gave us wonderful dining recommendations. I didn't see much of Alessio but he was also friendly. They were also very generous with allowing us to use their telephone. The rooms very very small... more

We enjoyed our stay at Hotel Cestelli. Alessandro was very helpful when we arrived. He recommended several non-touristy restaurants that we tried out with success. He also took some time to recommend other things and go over the map with us. The location was also perfect. We were able to easily walk south of the river to the less touristy... more

My criteria for Florence accomodations are 1) Central Location 2) Good Price 3) Quiet plus my usual criteria of 4) Cleanliness/Comfort 5) Unique & Charming. I give Hotel Cestelli an enthusiastic 5 out 5. If you want to know more read on. 1) The primo location exceeded my expectations. I honestly expected to be located further away for this great... more

My girlfriend and I stayed here 2 years ago, I should've written this then. The hotel is an absolute gem, down a quiet cobbled road its about as good a location as you can get. Our room had high ceilings and acres of space (furniture charming). No food / service facilities but you won't need it with the array of... more

We stayed five nights at Hotel Cestelli; three nights in a room with an ensuite and two nights in a room with the shared bathroom. We had no problems with this hotel. Everything was immaculately clean, the rooms were huge. The ground floor of the building was constructed in the 12th century, while the other floors were built in the... more

I stayed at Hotel Cestelli for 4 nights in October 2008. I had a single room with shared bath. The hotel decor is beautiful and Alessio and Assumi are wonderful hosts. My room, the shared bath, and the common area were all impeccably clean. What I most liked was the location, which is in the heart of the historic old... more

Our family of three, including 5-year old daughter, sought out the Cestelli after reading reviews here and on Venere.com. We were not disappointed -- the hotel is superbly kept, has very friendly and helpful hosts, and is as centrally located as possible. Alessio and Asumi go out of their way to make sure guests are comfortable and have the information... more

The stay at the hotel was very pleasant, the room that we stayed in was very homely and the shared bathroom was always clean. We visited Florence during the end of summer where temperatures get up to 34 degrees. In agreement with previous reviews it does get very warm in the room and during the night time can get really... more
