Three of us shared a room in Florence at the Hotel Bretagna, 5 nights. Should I say it's a palace? Really, it actually is a palace dating from the 13th century, and was a showplace even in its day. Walking up the stone stairs I've never stayed in a room with such tall ceilings before!!! We spent a lot of... More

This is a small boutique hotel iN Florence, facing the Arno River. The views are priceless from the balcony off the lobby(2nd floor), or the balcony off the dining area. The room was ample enough, not large. The bed, incredibly comfortable. The bathroom was pristine and contemporary. The staff was exceptional, especially Martina at the front desk. She was helpful in... More

Cannot beat this lovely location on the river. Good size rooms however internet didn't work in the room and would have been more comfortable sleeping on the floor than the awful bed. Lovely Breakfast room overlooking the river. Friendly helpful staff. Would not stay there again simply due to the bed and bad wi fi.

We stayed in a superior double which gave us a spacious room and big comfortable bed. Reception staff very friendly with good advice. There were a few negatives starting with the lift which failed to respond to the call buttons with any sense of service. It is also a small lift so small luggage is order of the day. As... More

Dear Guest, We are sorry to read such a negative review. Our Hotel is located in a Historical palace, dating 13th Century, and we had the permission to build only one lift, when it's busy of course you have to wait a while. We usually provide two towels per person but we can provide more under request. All our rooms... More

Everything was excellent from reservation to check out. Great location: short walking distance to ponte Vecchio, fantastic view from the lobby balconies. Excellent service: all personal members are smiling and welcoming. Great room with all commodities and wifi.

Wonderfully situated! Charming and authentical... we loved that place! The breakfast offers a good variety and is served in a great room, beathing history. The painted volt ceillings are amazing. You can see many bridges from the lobby balcony, such as the Ponte Vecchio. Very charming!

This hotel is so central, and right on the river. Great for sightseeing. The rooms are on the upper floors of the building and there is just one small lift. You can have your car professionally garaged for 29 euros for one day (estate car), but parking is extremely restricted oltherwise. We found a spot the first day about 15... More

Staff was the best we've had in Italy yet! One girl in particular was great. We were asking her all sorts of questions and she answered everything. Breakfast was good lots of selection. Room was good and clean with unreal view of river.

Nice hotel, centrally located, close to Ponte Vecchio with a free breakfast and WiFi. The A/C in the first room we got didn't work, so we got another one. The second one was like a palace ballroom - a huge room, 20 ft. ceiling with a painting on it. On the down side - the WiFi is spotty, parking is... More

Stayed two nights recently, stunning view over the River Arno, thought I'd died and gone to heaven. We had a large room with Jacuzzi bath, walk in rainfall shower. Very close to main attractions and city center. Local food exquisite.
