Wonderfully situated! Charming and authentical... we loved that place! The breakfast offers a good variety and is served in a great room, beathing history. The painted volt ceillings are amazing. You can see many bridges from the lobby balcony, such as the Ponte Vecchio. Very charming!

This hotel is so central, and right on the river. Great for sightseeing. The rooms are on the upper floors of the building and there is just one small lift. You can have your car professionally garaged for 29 euros for one day (estate car), but parking is extremely restricted oltherwise. We found a spot the first day about 15... More

Staff was the best we've had in Italy yet! One girl in particular was great. We were asking her all sorts of questions and she answered everything. Breakfast was good lots of selection. Room was good and clean with unreal view of river.

Nice hotel, centrally located, close to Ponte Vecchio with a free breakfast and WiFi. The A/C in the first room we got didn't work, so we got another one. The second one was like a palace ballroom - a huge room, 20 ft. ceiling with a painting on it. On the down side - the WiFi is spotty, parking is... More

Stayed two nights recently, stunning view over the River Arno, thought I'd died and gone to heaven. We had a large room with Jacuzzi bath, walk in rainfall shower. Very close to main attractions and city center. Local food exquisite.

The hotel is alright. Good breakfast but the room was very small and the view terrible. The phone in the room didn't work. Definitely not worth $240.00. Several other 4 star hotels are nearby at about the same rate I would recommend one of those.

We stayed at Bretagna while picking up a daughter from school in Florence. Had our children in tow, who took two rooms in the original hotel; we stayed in the new annex. The location cannot get much better than this, being within easy walking distance of the whole historic center of Florence. The hotel staff were very friendly and helpful.... More

Stayed at this hotel for only one night and in a single room. The location is fantastic with wonderful views of the river Arno. The staff are very pleasant and helpful. Breakfast was abundant with plenty of choice and you can enjoy your breakfast while your eyes feast on the view of the river and the lovely buildings along it.... More

I stayed here with my daughter for two nights. I'd say the main part of the hotel is classic style while the annex part we stayed in has more boutique style rooms, even though it is in a wonderful old building. With a cute little, old lift or a wonderful marble staircase. The room we were staying in was huge.... More

My husband and I stayed 3 nights to explore Florence. We found the reception staff very helpful and welcoming on arrival, even assisted with booking tickets to skip the lines (Thank you) Unfortunately we had an issue with A/C (it was not cooling at all) we had to request a fan to make it bearable. The phone in our room... More
