My husband and I stayed 3 nights to explore Florence. We found the reception staff very helpful and welcoming on arrival, even assisted with booking tickets to skip the lines (Thank you) Unfortunately we had an issue with A/C (it was not cooling at all) we had to request a fan to make it bearable. The phone in our room... More

We have stayed at the Bretagna since our son was in school there in 2000. At first it was more of Penzione! Now more of a full amenity hotel. Fantastic location, great staff, very comfortable accommodations and great price. Would stay there first when visiting Fierienze! Could not be more convenient to every important attraction, restaurant--shopping if you are so... More

Perfect place to stay while exploring Firenze. The hotel is facing the river and has a great view of Ponte Vecchio. Its less than a 5 mins walk to Galleria Uffizi and near to all tourist attractions & shopping as well as walking distance to the train station. The staff is extremely nice and breakfast is great! There is also... More

This hotel is perfectly situated overlooking the many bridges including ponte vecchio and right by the river. Our room had glorious views overlooking the above and the restaurant had a balcony where one could enjoy a chilled glass of wine whilst taking in these most amazing views. The hotel reception staff were really friendly and helpful and it was a... More

We spent one night , two days in this beautiful old hotel on the River Arno in Florence. We booked late and got a substantial reduction in price. Florence is a nightmare to park in. We drove direct to the Hotel through restricted zones, on their instruction, and parked in the loading bay outside the front of their Hotel. The... More

Staying at Bretagna was so pleasant to me and my family! The (huge!) room made me feel I was living in decade 20! Beautiful decoration, excellent view and very prestative staff! Perfect location, so walking distance to most of sightseeings

This hotel could have easily been better with a staff training session involving the waitress service, which, I would have to say, was a tad on the sullen side. The receptionists were lovely, helpful and knowledgable and the building itself was located on the banks of the Arno with Ponte Vecchio on the left of the veranda leading from the... More

We stayed 3 nights here and enjoyed every minute of it. It's in a great and gorgeous location, convenient to everything, but far enough away from the crowds to be quiet. Our room was actually right above a very busy, Iively bar, and we couldn't hear a thing once we closed the windows and turned on the AC fan. We... More

The staff was so friendly! thanks to the ladies at the reception. They kindly advised some restaurants which are not so touristic and they made the reservation for us. it was the breakfast I have ever had in Europe. And no need to mention about the location! you may see Ponte Vecciho from the balcony near breakfast room. Loved it!... More

Overlooking the river Arno, only a few yards from the Pontevechio, and in the heart of the city, the Hotel Bretagna is perfectly placed for a stay in the gorgeous city of Florence. Go through the door from the street and one gains an immediate sense of the 'Italian Experience'. This is no modern building that means you could be... More
