What a great surprise this hotel was, the location was perfect just right by the river Arno and within walking distance of all of Venice's main attractions. The hotel is and old palazzo with beautiful big rooms, high ceilings and a beautiful decorated fresco in one of the reception rooms. The room we got had a fantastic view of the... More

We stopped just one night here - we had a standard room (room #2) which was actually one of the original large reception rooms of the palazzo - so it was huge with a fantastic decorated ceiling. Staff were very helpful and efficient, breakfast was excellent and the location, on the lung'arno was just perfect - a couple of hundred... More

Stayed here for a couple of nights during a six week trip around Europe. We had a room overlooking the river and spent a lot of time looking out of the window!! The hotel is well maintained and comfortable with a number of floors and soaring high ceilings. The staff were excellent and sorted out all our local sightseeing and... More

Three couples traveling together with a river view room and two other rooms in the Plaza section of this hotel and stayed for three nights. It was a great stay. It was a bit cumbersome having the main desk in another building, but the location and the staff more than made up for any in convenience in that regard. The... More

Nice hotel on the river and close to the historic sites and museums. Be sure to ask for a junior suite, 16' ceilings with art. Nice breakfast included to start your day. Non deserted entry then up an elevator to hotel lobby, no grand entry

I booked an 'Historical Suite' for 2 nights as a surprise for my husband (he thought we were booked into a B&B). He was amazed at the grandeur of the room and even though I'd done my research, it exceed all of my expectations. Straight after checking in we enjoyed a bottle of Prosecco on the small balcony off reception... More

Three of us shared a room in Florence at the Hotel Bretagna, 5 nights. Should I say it's a palace? Really, it actually is a palace dating from the 13th century, and was a showplace even in its day. Walking up the stone stairs I've never stayed in a room with such tall ceilings before!!! We spent a lot of... More

This is a small boutique hotel iN Florence, facing the Arno River. The views are priceless from the balcony off the lobby(2nd floor), or the balcony off the dining area. The room was ample enough, not large. The bed, incredibly comfortable. The bathroom was pristine and contemporary. The staff was exceptional, especially Martina at the front desk. She was helpful in... More

Cannot beat this lovely location on the river. Good size rooms however internet didn't work in the room and would have been more comfortable sleeping on the floor than the awful bed. Lovely Breakfast room overlooking the river. Friendly helpful staff. Would not stay there again simply due to the bed and bad wi fi.

We stayed in a superior double which gave us a spacious room and big comfortable bed. Reception staff very friendly with good advice. There were a few negatives starting with the lift which failed to respond to the call buttons with any sense of service. It is also a small lift so small luggage is order of the day. As... More

Dear Guest, We are sorry to read such a negative review. Our Hotel is located in a Historical palace, dating 13th Century, and we had the permission to build only one lift, when it's busy of course you have to wait a while. We usually provide two towels per person but we can provide more under request. All our rooms... More
