The lobby is in the 2nd floor of a restored building. Location (near uffizi, accademia, hop on & off bus stop, train station, cathedrals, and of course arno river), breakfast (fresh friuit, great cappucino), staff (friendly, always ready to gove information), facilities (nice clean room, safety vault, view of lake in some rooms) and value for money are great.

Advertised with three star rating, but there are many 5 star features about this wonderful heritage hotel. Stayed in the historical suite with a fabulous fresco ceiling. The room was quadruple the size of most, perhaps 700 sq. feet with 25ft ceilings. Have never seen anything like it. The staff was tremendous and all spoke great English. The breakfast buffet... We stayed in a Junior Suite, which was lovely. Great view of the river and the Ponte Vecchio. Great old world character. Within walking distance of most of the main attractions. It was a little hot at night as air conditioner wasn't as efficient as one might hope. The jacuzzi size was for one person at a time. Staff very... More

Excellent location along the Arno, a short walk from the Ponte Vecchio and Uffizi, offering friendly, competent staff, beautiful view, rooftop terrace, ample breakfast buffet and clean, quiet rooms. Great value for money. I felt completely at ease and comfortable as a solo traveller and thoroughly enjoyed ending the evening watching the sunset with a glass of wine on the... More

My husband and I stayed at Hotel Bretagna for five nights. We had a room with a view over the river Arno. The room was beautiful and the view spectacular! The breakfast buffe was great! And the location of the hotel was perfect! We would definitaly stay here if we go back to Florence!

Only stayed here for a couple hours to take a nap and take a break from the heat, but it was so worth it! We had a bit of a mix-up and the concierge did such a great job of figuring it out for us. Beautiful 700 year old hotel right on the river.

We loved everything - after a bad experience in the accommodation I originally booked we packed our bags and moved after the first night - we were fortunate enough to be able to stay in these beautifully appointed and architecturally spectacular suites. The staff could not have been friendlier, they were so helpful and everything was done with genuine smiles... More

Staying in Uffizi

Neighborhood Profile
Uffizi
Every visitor coming to Florence for the first time will immediately identify with Uffizi. As in past times, passing through Via dei Calzaiuoli, you can reach the city center, the Florence that everybody dreams of. In just a few steps, visitors can experience the rare beauty of the capital of the Renaissance. walking delighted across Palazzo Vecchio and overlooking Piazza della Signoria, up to the Loggia of the Uffizi where it is possible to fully taste the talent of the best artists who animated Florence over the centuries. When the sun goes down, there’s nothing better than a walk along the river Arno up to the ancient bridge, Ponte Vecchio. It is full of jewels and decorated by the colors captured in postcards.
