Great location. Walking distance for most of tourists attractions. Secure paid parking, but the hotel was really dirty. The balconies and the room floor looked like has never been clean before. The room I was in had a small kitchen that also seemed dirty. Expensive for that conditions.

Residence Porta al Prato is a great option for plain and simple accommodation. I visit Florence last December from the 15th till 19th and Residence Porta al Prato provided me with a pleasant experience overall. My family had only arrived at Florence at close to 11pm due to a luggage issue at Rome Fiumicino Airport and the staff at the... More

Porta al Prato is a real residence. However, there is a block of rooms that rent to tourists. The amenities are nice: a lounge with water to fill drinking containers for the walks into Florence, vending machines, books on racks, and a washing machine and dryer in the basement. Staff was exemplary.

These people should really remove what they represent in the Internet it's really not fit for human or animal habitation. Dirty dusty and dated. Outside cracking and falling apart. They will take to your money over the Internet and not refund it. If you want to spoil your holiday book there. Web sites should remove it . It's really a... More

We were very disappointed with our stay. Our rooms had curtains as doors, walls that did not reach to the roof and zero privacy. The rooms did not portray the images online in the slightest. The carpet was old and stained, the plumbing was poor, and majority of the staff were not accommodating or friendly to us. Very little kitchenware... More

I'm having mixed feelings about this place. I'm glad I never saw the promotional pictures since the apartment was nothing like them - it was really dated and even though they had done their best cleaning, there's only so much you can do with old carpet and furniture. A lot of kitchenware was missing and I pointed this out in... More

Our apartment was large and clean and what we were looking for during our 8 day stay in Florence. It is a little out dated but for the price, we found it very comfortable. The staff were always helpful, especially when I needed to find a Dr for a sore leg. The kitchenette was a real bonus, with a sizeable... More

Receptionist was helpful and accommodating. Large bath with shower and good water pressure. Very little street noise. Other than that, this place is this place is a creepy and dumpy. The "official" photos do NOT portray the rooms accurately. The apartment itself was large, I'll give them that. But the furnishings, carpet, drapes, and linens were old, worn, and in... More

The appartment is average. The furnature is dated and could use a fresh look. This furnature is from the 70's or 80's. The matresses were a little thin and you could feel the springs. The pillows were thin and unconfortable. You could hear the neighbor showering from our bedroom. The room layout was nice but it loked dated so it... More

Although the location is quite good, the appartements are very old. It all looks like its build and designed in the 80's. Rooms are old and out of date. Beds are clean but sagged. Only 15 minute walk to the city centre and nice places to eat closeby. Won't be staying here again. The residence has its own parking spaces... More
