Florence is a beautiful city and staying at this B&B was fantastic. It is located on the top floor so you will need to be able to go up and down stairs. Gabriella is so helpful and has great taste! She has so much energy and is every welcoming and organized. The decor is great and she has put a... More

Me and my partner stayed here in July 2015, we found this hotel to be lovely. Staff were very friendly, helpful and knowledgeable. Rooms were clean and comfy, breakfast was good. Roof terrace was a great touch. Lovely hotel, only thing is this hotel is on the top floor of the building so there’s a few stairs to climb. Thanks... More

Started our Journey in Tuscany with a stay at this lovely B&B. Really helpful before the arrival with booking of the Uffizi(not just a recomendation, a necessity). Nice neat and clean room. Good breakfast that we ate on their lovely terrace.

Loved this B&B! Staff were exceptional and friendly, roof top terrace is a blessing in July when it's so hot. The location is superb, could not be more central. There are a few flights of stairs to tackle but it's very do-able and would not take from the experience of staying in this B&B in the slightest!

This centrally located b&b is conveniently located close to the railway station, by taxi only cost around €10. We were in a room with a tiny little balcony, the out look wasn't fantastic but it was great because we like plenty of fresh air in our hotel room. Gabriella booked us in and she has lived in Florence for over... More

We had a bit of confusion finding this place when we arrived because Florence has red and black address numbers based on whether the property is a business or residence, but when we called, they straightened us out. (Make sure you let them know when you'll arrive so there you're guaranteed someone is there). The two women running the place... More

Il Bargello B&B is a delightful inn located right in the middle of Florence, with loads of charm including wood beam ceilings and Italian decor. With it's communal living room, kitchen and fantastic rooftop terrace, you will feel as though you are staying in your Italian friends' home. A continental breakfast is served by Simone or Gabriella in the kitchen... More

Il Bargello B & B was recommended to us by friends who stayed there a few years ago. I am so glad they did! We stayed there in April for 6 nights. The location is a short walk from most major sites, such as Il Duomo, Palazzo Vecchio, Uffizi Gallery and the river. Gabriella and Simone made us feel right at... More

Stayed two nights in their separate apartment, which is located directly across the hall from the main B&B. It turned out to have two big double beds, plus a single, which was rather more than just the two of us needed! The location is superb, very central and just a couple of mins walk from the main square. Our host... More

My family of four stayed for two nights in the Executive Suite, which was really a large two bedroom apartment. It is very private, on the opposite side of the hall from the B&B portion of Il Bargello. The apartment was well stocked with a variety of juice, milk, bread, cereal, and croissants, with coffee and a French Press. The... More

Staying in Duomo

Neighborhood Profile
Duomo
Florentia, as it was called by Latins, is permeated by an eternal beauty spread in all corners of the city. The historic center is characterized by the immensity of the Duomo, able to transport tourists into the brightest age of Florence: the Renaissance. Who does not know the Brunelleschi Dome, San Giovanni Baptistery and the Giotto’s Campanile? Everything is enclosed here and it would be easy to imagine the city as it was in ancient times, with maids walking in the main square and horses carrying coaches. Nowadays, roads are busy with street artists. Rustic Tuscan bakeries give way to fashion shops; just stop for a few minutes in the middle of Piazza della Repubblica to enjoy the colors and sweet melody of the carousel that will bring back great memories from anyone’s childhood.
