I really enjoyed my stay in Bed & Bed Peterson in Florence. The room was comfortable with a huge double bed, the bathroom was nice and clean and there wasn't much noise even though there was a busy street outside. The place is quite small, there's no shared kitchen but there's a fridge and a mircowave that are free for... More

I am very pleased with my stay at Bed & Bed Peterson. It is not hard to find once you locate yourself on the map. Within walking distance to the Train Station and City Centre. The rooms were clean and had air conditioning, towels and bathroom supplies. There is a coffee machine, kettle, microwave, fridge and hairdryer in the hall... More

We booked this B&B and found difficulty in tracing its location. While we were wandering in front of a huge door that leads to various properties including this b & b, my husband was suddenly called by a person who claimed himself as a police (in a light blue shirt, navy trouser and a navy tie). I was somehow not... More

Hotel is near the train station. Easily check in even we cannot speak Italian. We can drop a luggage at reception if we come before check in time. Room is wide for Thai people and clean with bathroom inside. Easy having breakfast and coffee.

We spent one night here because it was close to the train station and we were headed to Venice the next day. May have just been us, but the neighborhood seemed dark & dirty, plus there weren't any nice restaurants close. Small thing, but after we used the two coffee capsules provided in the room there were no others on... More

Nice clean BB close to central station, nice clean room and bathroom, fast wifi, simple but OK breakfast but situated at very very noisy street. Also we came during midday and our room wasn't ready yet - we have travelled since early morning so it was a bit uncomfortable for us. But the rest was fine.

Not downtown at all but it's a 15 minute walk. Very clean with a huge super comfortable bed. The bathroom was small but also very nice. We had a room facing the main road but there was no noise at all. The TV was broken I guess, Because it wouldn't switch in. But who comes to Florence to watch TV... More

We were lost in #Florence and parked up. The owner came to find us and guide us to the hotel and help us park, totally amazing customer service. The room was lovely and clean and the thing that made the stay so wonderful was the lovely owners, a married couple who couldn't do enough for us and make us feel... More

As the name suggest this hotel is just a typical bed and breakfast..located on first floor of a building which has a few more b&bs ..serviced by lift.. Comfortable , clean and spacious rooms.but breakfast was not satisfactory .just a croissant and coffee.although the good part is that they have a microwave and coffee maker for all which one can... We stayed in bed & breakfast peterson for one night only, but it was definitely worth the money we spent. The location is good, just few minutes walking from the train station. Our room was very nice, clean and comfortable, bed was big enough and good, bathroom was clean and ok. Breakfast was ready and waiting for us in a... More

Staying in Santa Maria Novella

Neighborhood Profile
Santa Maria Novella
Santa Maria Novella train station welcomes the majority of the people arriving in Florence, which might explain the hectic pace. Commuters and tourists come across the constant hustle and bustle of the station before exiting, taking a few steps and stopping amazed in Piazza di Santa Maria Novella. It is impossible not to admire the the square, housing one of the most charming basilicas in Florence. The area has plenty of local spots to taste Tuscan specialties, but don’t stop in the main streets alone; the narrower side streets always ensure satisfaction. The huge Parco Delle Cascine provides a solution to the need for a green area as well as a historic welcome in the form of a bronze statue of King Vittorio Emanuele II riding a horse.
