We are first time (international) travelers since retirement. Our hostess, Mariangela was so thoughtful and considerate; all of our emails were answered thoroughly and expeditiously, and left no detail assumed. Mariangela herself is a seasoned international traveler and knows how to make one feel at home. The rooms were very clean, the bed comfortable, good air conditioning, and windows with... More

Wonderful adventure for my wife and me. First we shopped in the market. Mariangela knew all of the vendors in the market. Then we helped prepare a typical Tuscan meal. And of course we ate it! Highly recommend this experience. Just the three of us

We can not say more than enough about this wonderful B&B located just off La Piazza de Santa Croce. Located right down the road from a former residence belonging to none other than the great Michelangelo, the B&B is an absolutely comfortable and wonderfully decorated establishment. Mariangela is a vibrant host, one with a great wealth of knowledge of her... More

The location is perfect for exploring, just off the square at Santa Croce. Our room was very comfortable and Mariangela a perfect hostess. The highlight was our cookery lesson, three types of fresh pasta including a trip to the local market to buy ingredients.

We enjoyed our stay in this charming B&B. We arrived in November when the weather was misty and or rainy, but we had a great visit anyway. Our room was comfortable and had a small balcony that would have been charming in warmer weather. The breakfast room can be an open-air terrace in the fine weather. We appreciated the careful... One of the highlights of our summer vacation. Everything, from the room to the food to the cooking lessons was absolutely perfect. The rooms are spacious, well equipped and beautiful, the location couldn't be more perfect. We stayed 3 nights and wish we could have stayed longer. We booked a cooking lesson with the owner who took us to the... More

Le Stanza di Santa Croce was everything it was billed to be: quaint, conveniently located, expertly run by a charming woman. I came to Florence last minute to write a story and was recommended to Le Stanza by a friend and travel writer. Perfect choice.

A friend and I met in Florence for a few days of fun (I live in Rome and he lives in the U.S.) and he had heard about Le Stanze di Santa Croce from a guide book. We had a great time there. Both our rooms were beautifully appointed and comfortable. The breakfast was great and the check-in system and... More

We spent 3 nights at Le Stanze. The rooms were spacious and well appointed and everything was sparkling clean. The breakfasts served on the terrace were very good...no meagre continental breakfasts! We did a cooking lesson with Mariangela, and it was fantastic! Shopping with her in the local market, where she knows everyone and preparing authentic Tuscan food...something I will... More

We stayed at Le Stanze for 3 nights, and loved our time there. Mariangela is a most engaging, welcoming and friendly hostess. Unfortunately, we did not have time to take her cooking class; but, no matter, she made some wonderful recommendations of things to do and places to eat in and around Florence. She even pointed us towards the closest... More
