This hotel was only okay. The location was reasonable. The room was okay. The bathroom had ponding issues, the floor didn't slope to the floor drain... The coffee was just bad. Overall I'm sure there is a better choice for the same price range.

Were do I start!!! The shower was the worst I have ever used, the bathroom was unclean. The room was stuffy with no natural light coming through as they kept closing the shutters. The staff were so rude. We got shouted at in Italian in front of everyone at the breakfast table beacuse we tried to help the waitress move... More

Hotel Unicorno is just a couple of blocks away from the Florence, SMN, train station and within walking distance of all of the major attractions in Florence. The reception greeted us warmly when we arrived and gave a quick orientation to Florence. We had to carry our bags up half a flight of steps to the small elevator. The room... More

We stayed in this hotel for 2 nights while in Florence. The hotel décor was ok, more modern than many Italian hotels. It did not feel as clean as the other hotels that we stayed at in Italy. Breakfast was not bad too. The location was great though. Hotel reception staff were very friendly, knowledgeable and extremely helpful.

We arrived at this hotel and were greeted by smiles. Upon checking in, we were informed that all the museums were free entry that afternoon so we were advised to hurry out and see the sights. Also, we had inquired about booking the train to Venice and the front desk clerk was helpful enough to print the schedule for us... More

Perfect location. Quiet street. Close enough to walk from the station with luggage. Close to river, Piazza Republic and the Dourmo. Room was comfortable with a good shower. Rooms at the back are very quiet but a little dark. Would stay again.

Booked this hotel 6 months before travelling. Booked a superior room above the standard classic room so paid a little extra for the comfort. On arrival at 1600 hrs were informed that all superior rooms were booked out and that my credit card had been debited for the stay. We were then taken across the road to a hotel that... More

Not too many facilities but it's fairly near the main railway station and Santa Maria Novella church. The room was a decent size and the breakfast was OK. Had a fridge and safe which is a bonus. Handy for the main tourist sites and shops and restaurants. Not right in the centre.
