We absolutely loved our stay at Hotel Burchianti! The room was large, beautifully decorated with gorgeous frescos and super comfy beds (not 2 twins pushed together which is, unfortunately, the norm in Italy). The proprietor, Mario, was lovely and extremely helpful with helping us navigate the streets with a car (some streets are non driving zones). He is so hospitable... More

Set behind large gates in a quiet city road close to simply every attraction in Florence this accommodation is a gem. It is literally a few minutes walk from the railway station and all other major attractions in the city. Once a palace the building has become several homes and Burchianti has accommodation on the first and third floors. We... More

The hotel Birchianti has many positives - it's close to the train station, easy walking distance to all the galleries & churches, and it is a lovely place hidden away in a building. The man running it is helpful, courteous and friendly. However I booked a single room - and didn't read the reviews in detail first to realise I... More

Staying at the Burchianti is like having your own palazzo in the center of Florence. Renaissance décor with frescoed ceilings and detailed moldings. Mario provides the warmest hospitality and is happy to make suggestions for restaurants and sights. A lovely breakfast in the salon. I wouldn't stay anywhere else in Florence!

Our stay at Hotel Burchianti was the highlight of our travels throughout Italy. The decor is classically Florentine in excellent taste and the hotel is situated in an area which is convenient to every destination. Our host, Mario, was hospitable, helpful, and delightful and we hope to return in the future. Daniela Sala Millet Felicia Sala Snow

Although situated a short walk from the station and within easy walking distance of the historical centre the Burchianti is a tranquil place to relax. The bedrooms are comfortable and clean with AC and a fridge, and most have fresco type décor. Mario, the manager, is charming and provided us with useful information including excellent nearby restaurant choices (La Madia,... More

Central location, a little hard to find first time, but once you do, what a treat. You get buzzed into a courtyard, then take an elevator up the first floor - lobby / breakfast area. Mario and staff were great. He took time to "introduce" us to the room. Great views (higher floor). Seems like everything was within 5 /... More

I've been to Hotel Burchianti for the 4th time. Very accommodating and friendly. I've stayed a few other places in Italy, and it just feels like home. Mario has always been helpful, and the new staff seem to be following in his footsteps.

Really, don't miss your chance to stay in the center of fabulous Firenze in such an elegant and amazing hotel! Location is great-quiet area, 5 minutes to Santa Maria Novella and about10 minutes to Duomo! According to Mario - one of the most charming hotel managers, that I've ever seen, the building itself dates to the 16th century. In our... More

The Hotel does not have the traditional look of a hotel from the street. In fact, it looks like a residence. You must ring the bell to have the iron gate opened, travel up a flight of stairs before you reach the lobby. Once inside, the property has all the charm of Italy. The rooms are large and have period... More
