This hotel is located in prrfect location. It is only steps to all major attraction, Duomo, Uffizi Gallery, Market, and also very close to Rail Station Santa Maria Novella. The hotel is clean and well decorated. The staff was helpful and very friendly.

We stayed here for 3 nights in May. We were made to feel very welcome by the manager Signor Mario and felt the building had a lovely romantic atmosphere. More like a stately home than a hotel. We stayed in a room which had a beautiful fresco on the ceiling and a very comfortable bed. Breakfast was a good continental... More

This hotel is gorgeous painted ceilings and antique furniture. The location is within steps from all major attractions. The staff is incredibly friendly and helpful breakfast buffet is good. Fresh fruit, salads, breads, juices, cereals, cold cuts and cheeses. Rooms have slippers for guests. I would have given it the maximum number of points had it not been for the... More

A lovely hotel with large rooms and bathrooms. The ceilings have angelic frescos in a light blue color. Beds are comfortable. The hotel staff was extremely helpful and friendly. Breakfast was continental. This is a perfect hotel to stay in the city center with walking to museums, cathedrals, and palaces. No airconditioning, but in April it was cool in the... More

What a delightful place...close to all the major tourist spots, the train station is about a 5-10 min walk, it is clean with aircon, comfortable bed, Wifi in your room and modern bathrooms plus you get a great breakfast and friendly service. I am gluten free and they bent over backwards to cater for me. Loved the beauty of the... More

From the time that we walked into the Pensione Burchianti, we were made to feel welcome. Cool water, Florentine teacake and hot beverages greeted us, along with a most welcome respite from the heat outside. Mario, Julia, Nonna, Artu and their new colleague ensured that we felt like special guests. The beautiful frescoes on our ceiling room were amazing and... More

My sister-in-law and I stayed at this lovely albergo for three days in May. Located up a graceful flight of marble steps (there's also a small elevator for patrons with luggage), glass doors open into an elegant foyer/living/dining area. Mario, who looks more like a grand duke than a concierge, greeted us when we arrived. Our rooms were compact, clean... More

We selected this hotel strictly on its location (an easy 5 minute walk from the train station and a similar walk to the Duomo). We were not expecting the beauty and old world elegance we encountered. Our junior suite had a vaulted ceiling, about 15' high and 20' X 40'. The entire ceiling was a fresco. We were told that... More

Hotel Burchianti, honestly can't say enough wonderful things about this hotel. From the moment we found the hotel we were greeted warmly at checkin - we were escorted to our beautiful room for four. The rooms are decorated with delightful paintings on all the walls and ceilings. Asking for a bag of ice for our daughter was never seen as... More

Please keep in mind that these accommodations share a space in a palatial building with other businesses. In order to enter, ring the doorbell. Reception will see you on their camera and buzz open the interior iron gates. You will see the large staircase on the left side. In front of the staircase is a small elevator. Go up to... More

San Lorenzo
San Lorenzo’s lively merchants shout out from behind stalls with an array of products in one of the most traditional neighborhoods in Florence. Different ethnic groups join together in the large outdoor market of San Lorenzo and in the Central Market, a vast multi-floored building. Visitors are bound to fall in love with this area and in particular, with its variety of food, especially those focusing on Florentine dishes as well as international selections.
