Had a wonderful time at the Hotel Accademia - the staff were exceedingly friendly, the location unbeatable, and the decor beautiful. Loved the pink marble floor, and my light turquoise bathroom (shower was separate) There was a double bed and the room was the largest during my 3 week trip. The sink was in the room with nowhere to put... More

Hotel is located near the main train station within 10 minutes walk. There are many nice restaurants nearby. 10 minutes walk to Duomo, Piazza Della Signoria, Via calimala and only 3 minutes to Centrale market. Room is big with old fashioned decorations with AC. Free wifi in the room with stable signal.

You might not have a glamorous stuff a five star hotel provides but with what you pay for . . . it's very good. It has all necessary things you need from a hair dryer, tv, safe etc but importantly the room is clean and very close to the station. If you love market stalls, this is the hotel. The... More

The staff here was very nice, very accommodating. Location was also really, really good. Convenient to numerous churches, museums, and galleries, as well as solid restaurants. The problem here is the facility itself. It seems other people in our group had decent rooms, but our room left a whole lot to be desired. From windows that didn't quite close, to... More

In close proximity to tourists' hot spots, Hotel Accademia was the terrific choice for my stay in Florence. From the Santa Maria Novella train station, it only requires a short walk through the lively streets full of merriment. Al fresco dining scenes take up the roadsides... truly entertaining as you pass by but don't get lost in the crowd. Do... More

Stayed two nights. The location is good. The internet didn't work well. The cable went out (because of a storm, I think), so no news the second night. The room was so warm when we returned from a full day of touring, we assumed the ac was not working, so slept with the windows open. As a result, many mosquito... More

This charming hotel is in a great location in Florence with a restaurant and a pub located on either side of the entrance (the restaurant on the left even has a 12th man flag hanging outside Seahawks fans)! Nice little breakfast room. Clean and comfortable rooms. Thank you so much to Thea and to the wonderful staff for going above... More

We checked into this hotel as we were assured it had wi-fi in the room but alas, it did not. So without even unpacking our bags we checked out! I also thought the room was pretty blah and the unsmiling woman manning the front desk seemed surly and unaccomodating.

Stayed here in Florence and it's got character. Our room was over the street so a little noisy but we loved experiencing the sounds of Florence at night... The best food I had in Europe was at the restaurant next to the hotel on the left side and we had a great lunch in the cafe to the right. Please... More

I stayed here with my mom and aunt on a 3 day trip to Florence. The room was spacious enough for all three of us, but did require walking up several stairs to get to the room. The room and bathroom were nothing fancy, but were clean and comfortable. They offered a nice selection of foods for breakfast. The location... More

San Lorenzo’s lively merchants shout out from behind stalls with an array of products in one of the most traditional neighborhoods in Florence. Different ethnic groups join together in the large outdoor market of San Lorenzo and in the Central Market, a vast multi-floored building. Visitors are bound to fall in love with this area and in particular, with its variety of food, especially those focusing on Florentine dishes as well as international selections.
