This room has a great location, being a couple of blocks from both the train station and the Duomo. It was clean and the room is relatively good sized. The bathroom is quite small, but normal by local standards. The shower was simply a curtain pull around and a floor drain in the bathroom. It was convenient and worked fine.... more

We arrived Hotel Accademia on 24 Apr 09 and stayed for 3 nights. It was located about 15mins walk from the train station. Therefore, quite a good location. However, the room is dark, has outdated furniture and a weird smell. Well, for its price, that should be the condition..can't expect too much. The reception is located on the 2nd level... more

We stayed May 20-23 and found the hotel to be a good value for the location. Rick Steves had a group staying here so it is still popular with his touring company. We were traveling with our two adult daughters and our first night we got dumped into a quad as they had a "problem" with one of our double... more

This is my 2nd time staying at this hotel. I stayed here 6 years ago and remembered it being a good value in a great location with a good included breakfast. When I booked I was surprised how much the per night cost had gone up, even in 6 years it had jumped quite a bit compared to other hotels... more

My husband and I stayed here in 2002, and I returned this May to find most of the same friendly and helpful staff in attendance. Breakfast is a little spare and the rooms are small and basic (but clean and beds are firm), but it is still a quiet and pleasant place to stay in an ideal location--and a very... more

Fortunately we had to stay here only one night. While its location is good, the hotel is just average and basic albeit affordable. There was limited hot water at 5AM to take a shower. As in many European hotels, there were no washcloths. Soap was liquid out of a little plastic pack. Pillows were almost flat although the bed was... more

we stayed here for four days. it was well situation between the train station and the duomo - good walking all over town. the room was simple. what surprised me was that our room (#21) had a tub in it. This is a rarity for Italian hotel rooms, and it was a treat to have that much space. The front... more

This was our second hotel on the Rick Steves' tour and it was the worst of the bunch. I don't know if it was the time of the year or the location but our room was full of mosquitos and also a few fleas. Everyone in our group had issues with bugs. The front desk will provide an insect repellant... more

Stayed one night as a stop over whilst travelling from Siena to Rimini. The hotel is less than a 10min walk from the train station in an ideal location for the Dormo side of town. The late booking of a double room upgrade for the price of a single was a very good price. The steps to enter the hotel... more

Nice hotel - very friendly, helpful staff. We were referred to this hotel by the Hotel Centrale which was full. Staff here went out of their way to help us. They had no triples so gave us a double and then later moved out a desk and added an extra bed for our son. Since they were booked solid the... more
