Very convenient 5 minute walk from train station. Constantine was extremely helpful in providing a map and pointing out the highlights of the beautiful city of Florence. Our family of 4 stayed in a quad room and had plenty of room and great air conditioning! Breakfast was delicious, Ana was always there to make sure we had what we needed... More

The location is superb, 5 min walk from main station. Staff is friendly and informative. They will share with you the nearby attractions and suggest you a plan for tourist. Very friendly and helpful. Room is good overall but wifi is weak. Somehow the aircond did not work properly.

Our Family of 4 had a quad room and it was very spacious. We could see the Duomo from our window. Constantine was so friendly and gave us great tips for getting around Florence. We really enjoyed the breakfast and tea room. There were also some complimentary beverages in the fridge for us upon arrival. The place is very close... More

My family and I stayed at the Marbo in mid June, 2015. There are 4 of us, my husband, myself and my two college age kids. We booked a four person family suite. The B&B is close to the train station but not so close that you hear the trains coming in. It's an easy 5-7 minute walk down the... More

location wise were not to bad, few minutes walk from the Santa Maria Novella station, very close. But city which was in the other directions, so you have to take extra minutes to be part of it. Rooms were not to small since they over many bedrooms arrangement, breakfast was standard but well prepared. Reception staff were very helpful from... More

When my wife and I checked in, we were greeted by Constantine. Omg he's such a friendly guy. He literally took time to explain the best way to go about Florence and things not to be missed. He recommended us a tour package which we really enjoyed and had the privilege to see the whole Tuscany. Breakfast was nice, they... More

Best personal service ever! Great location, perfect WiFi ( hard to find in Florence)... Cozy and warm room. Very clean! Very close to the train station (might be worth checking it on Google street view beforehand). The hotel is a very small family hotel that offers its guest personal service, attention and really great experience! I will definitely stay there... More

Staying in Santa Maria Novella

Neighborhood Profile
Santa Maria Novella
Santa Maria Novella train station welcomes the majority of the people arriving in Florence, which might explain the hectic pace. Commuters and tourists come across the constant hustle and bustle of the station before exiting, taking a few steps and stopping amazed in Piazza di Santa Maria Novella. It is impossible not to admire the the square, housing one of the most charming basilicas in Florence. The area has plenty of local spots to taste Tuscan specialties, but don’t stop in the main streets alone; the narrower side streets always ensure satisfaction. The huge Parco Delle Cascine provides a solution to the need for a green area as well as a historic welcome in the form of a bronze statue of King Vittorio Emanuele II riding a horse.
