A short walk from Santa Maria Novella train station, located in a nice, extremely central area. The room was very clean, and the air conditioning was a blessing! Snacks provided in the fridge were free, as were the drinks. The fridge was restocked each day. Angela - who works behind the desk - was friendly and helpful when we arrived, giving... More

Located on Via Nationale which very convenient for the SMN train station but a bit seedy. The B&B is great value and clean with some nice touches such as fridge with free water and soft drinks. Host was amiable and eager to please which is not a given on this street. I would stay here again.

As a value oriented hotel in an expensive locale, La Residenza di Michelangelo fills a niche with nice clean rooms. This is not a true hotel and staff is on-site limited hours. The location is convenient and it is worth a look if value is your primary objective, otherwise there are nicer places to stay.

As others have mentioned the location is great if you are using the train or bus to get around. The owners Alessandro and Angela were very helpful and accommodating. We arrived on a Saturday and were given the room near the front desk that faces the street. We were concerned about the noise and they offered us a room facing... More

A very, very noisy hotel. I booked a room well in advance and was given the room next to the front desk and near the front door. I was not accommodated to be moved to another room or was not able to move to another hotel. The owner is very inflexible. If you want to get -any- sleep or have... More

Dear Guest, that it is very strange (I mean the noise who you talking for), becouse we have only 6 rooms, your room was not on front but in back of the building, so, you can't ear anything from the street. Yes, reception is near but we are not in front all the time and normaly 95% of our Guest... More

This B&B is just a few minutes walk (around 200 meters) from the train and bus stations, which is a big deal when wanting to travel to other places near Florence. It was a bit tricky to locate as the signage outside was quite small, and there was also another B&B in the same building with a more prominent sign.... More

The location is perfect - everything is in walking distance. It is located in the center of the city, 5 - 10 minutes from the train station, but you don`t hear any trains :) The room and bathroom was clean, in your room is a fridge with bootles of water, fruit juice, you also get croisant and there is everything... - my room was very comfortable and roomy. Nice big bed! The bathroom was hands down the best in all my stay in Europe. Extremely clean and very big relatively speaking. The bathroom was located away from the room so it definitely lends for privacy if you're not traveling alone. - Included in room were free snacks and water! Huge... More

The location, the new and fresh design of the rooms and the nice owners make this a great place to stay while in Florence. I`m not sure exactly what "La Residenza di Michelangelo" is. Not a hotel because you get your Italian breakfast (coffee, cappuccino/croissants) from a small bar next door, not a B&B because your room is cleaned daily... More

Our room and bed were large and we had a cute little balcony over looking the street. It was nice to let the sun and 'city noises' in in the afternoon. As expected it was quite noisy at night because of the street noise - take earplugs. There was a lift up to the Residenza's floor, which was appreciated because... More
