We had a very pleasant stay at Relais Il Campanile - from the efficient email booking with Sara, the manager, at very short notice, to being met at the B&B, the location right in the heart of the city but in a quiet location, to the in-room breakfast - we thoroughly enjoyed our stay here. The rooms are a little... more

Clear and timely e-mail exchanges in reservation process. As we were traveling with much luggage our walk from SMN (Santa Maria Novella) Sta. was about fifteen minutes, its probably more like 8-10 mins with moderate baggage. Upon arriving, staff helped with bringing luggage up stairs (only one flight up). We were provided with three keys, 1. Main street door, 2.... more

My husband and I just stayed in Florence at this hotel. Once you book the room, if you read their cancellation policy, they say you must send in your cancellation by email or fax within seven days. We needed to cancel one night of our stay with them, and emailed them three times, well within seven days. I even got... more

The lady that runs the place (Sarah, I think) is extremely nice and helpful, other people too. Good-sized room, clean and comfortable. Breakfast was also quite good, served in your room! The b&b location is excellent, right next to the Dome. You can walk to/from the SMN train station (about 7 minutes) or take taxi (10-15 euro). We were on... more

I stayed at the Relais il Campanile for two nights. Due to booking situation I was in 3 different B&Bs last week in Florence - by very very far, this was the best. The room was much larger, and furniture (esp bed) of a much higher standard. The room included locally controlled heating (not a given in B&Bs in Florence),... more

What can i say but location , location , location ? This B&B is probably the closest you can get to the Doumo which is the perfect location to see Florence. Only a 10-15 minute walk from the train station it is very easy to find (check out the photos and you'll know to look for the brass name plate)... more

Our window was facing the courtyard and it was noisy both during the day but especially at night - there is a terrace that belongs to a pub or a night club right in the same courtyard and it is quite popular untill very late at night. The A/C was not working so we couldn't close the windows to avoid... more

We stayed at the Relais Il Campanile during our honeymoon and we had such a great experience that we stayed for one more night! Upon arrival, I did not realize it did not have a lift, but we received help with all of our luggage (something that no other hotel in Europe had done for us before). We were happily... more

This place is in a great location. Literally walking distance from all the sight-seeing places. Sara was a great host...and very knowledgable about Florence. The room was good size. The only problem that I would say is the bathroom ,very small. I am 4 feet 11 inches, and I thought the shower was tiny and very uncomfortable...so if you are... more

I stayed here for three nights in steamy August 2007. Booking: Sara helped me with my booking via email. Prices were great - 55euro with no breakfast. Emailed her my credit card number and voila, booked. She was also helpful in finding a terrific restaurant - bistek fiorentino mmm! And fresh bruschetta. Accommodation: I had a room with double bed... more
