Although I cannot see it mentioned on their website, this place does NOT have a lift. A huge problem if you’re travelling with the elderly, children and/or heavy luggage. I only found this out the night before we were due to check in. There are 23 steps up to the first floor to the reception and a further 19 steps... More

While all hotels / B&B are more or less near the Duomo, getting a view of the Duomo right when you step out of this B&B was very thrilling. The reception is very helpful , advising us of local restaurants to eat which turned out to be awesome. They helped us book a trip to Pisa too. Our only problem... More

Very friendly and helpful staff (specialy Ms. Vesna), amazing location right in the heart of Florence, next to the Duomo! Rooms are comfortable and very clean. Great value for money. Everything was just perfect!

We loved our stay at Relais Campanile! The staff, especially Chiara are absolutely wonderful. This is a B&B in an ancient building in the shadow of the breathtaking Duomo. The location could not be more perfect! Although close to the Duomo we found the side street of Via Ricasoli to be quiet at night. We loved our room which was... More

Location is perfect. The room and bathroom were not so clean. Nice staff. Breakfast with rolls and croissants from the day bafore, reheated in the microwaves. I read good reviews about this B&B, something happened!!

You could not get a better location than this delectable B&B. It is less than a 30 second walk to the cathedral which is the hub of everything in Florence. We had a large room with a nice bathroom and enjoyed the breakfast in bed each morning. Nothing was an inconvenience and Max was great! This is a proper B&B... More

The location is perfect.3mins walking from the piazza Duomo and 5 min from the Accademia. The room was quite small and claustophobic, the bathroom needed restoration. However the lady at the reception was very pleasant, kind and helpfull. It is recommended if you stay a night at Florence and you need an accommodation at the center

Enjoyed my stay here, especially due to the very friendly and helpful staff. The room, in an old building upstairs, was large, comfortable and clean. Breakfast was delivered exactly on time, and the 5 euro cost was extremely reasonable. Staff available only in the mornings, but they made arrangements for any needs outside of those hours including a late arrival,... More

Lovely hotel, literally 3 minutes from Il Duomo and yet quiet and relaxing with no noise. I love how in Italy they brand small boutique hotels like this as B&Bs - they are certainly not the same as the majority of 'B&Bs' in the UK! OK so you don't have 24 hr reception service, there isn't a palatial foyer to... More

Relais Il Campanile is a small "boutique" hotel right in the heart of Florence, walking distance to everything, 1 block from the Duomo, 2 blocks from the Academia, 15 minute walk from train station. Staff is super friendly and helpful. They really want you to have a great time. We booked a budget room, which was small but absolutely adequate... More

Staying in Duomo

Neighborhood Profile
Duomo
Florentia, as it was called by Latins, is permeated by an eternal beauty spread in all corners of the city. The historic center is characterized by the immensity of the Duomo, able to transport tourists into the brightest age of Florence: the Renaissance. Who does not know the Brunelleschi Dome, San Giovanni Baptistery and the Giotto’s Campanile? Everything is enclosed here and it would be easy to imagine the city as it was in ancient times, with maids walking in the main square and horses carrying coaches. Nowadays, roads are busy with street artists. Rustic Tuscan bakeries give way to fashion shops; just stop for a few minutes in the middle of Piazza della Repubblica to enjoy the colors and sweet melody of the carousel that will bring back great memories from anyone’s childhood.
