The location is the best thing about this place. Very central - only a few minutes walk from the train station and buses. You can even walk into town from here (we did - every day). It's a very basic hotel, it's clean, small and has very mismatched furniture. But let's face it, you're not here for the hotel! Breakfast... more

hotel Vasari had some negative reviews but we felt the location and facilities offered suited us and decided to ignore them. So glad we stayed there. Our Room 308 with ensuite was excellent - great shower with plentiful hot water, toiletries and hair dryer. Good storage faciltiies. Good quality bedding and towels were changed daily . The Hotel was clean... more

You can't get a better location than this hotel. Only 5 minute walk from the train station and 5 minutes to the Duomo and the centre of Florence. The hotel is a bit older and the bathroom was small but it was perfect for a 2 night stay. The room was large, the air-conditioning worked (and we needed it in... more

We should have asked for a different room but we were only there for 4 nights. We had a noisy room over looking a busy street . The air con was poor and we had to sleep with the window closed, because of the noise, and Florence was hot. The bathroom was no more than a cupboard and the shower... more

Just a spit from the main railway station and many of the important bus stops but also good value. The public rooms are great and the room we had was adequate...there were three single beds so it was a trifle cramped but the bathroom was fine, the breakfast good and the staff on reception very friendly and helpful, especially Sandro. The area was quiet... more

Hotel is a stone's throw from SMN train station in Florence but very quiet. That is, apart from the pneumatic drill that prevented us from sleeping in one morning. The desk staff were however quick to respond and offered to move us to a different room. Location relative to the rest of the city was pretty decent - it was... more

Just as many others have said, this hotel is conveniently located within walking distance to the train station and town center. If you are using trians for Tuscany day-tripping, you will really appreciate this as the station is a 3-5 minute skip. Also, contrary to may reports, we are a 50+ year old couple and never felt unsafe walking from... more

The hotel is very close to the railway station and within few minutes on foot from the city centre. The room was at the end of a narrow corridor and not very large but quite clean. The bathroom was narrow without a true shower box (just a corne with hole on the floor and closed by a thin curtain. Light... more

We stayed in the Hotel Vasari for our one day stop in Florence. It's extremely close to the train station. The rooms were bigger than normal and along with the private bathroom. The air conditioning is only on for certain times mostly during the later afternoon through the morning but I didn't really notice, it was on anytime I had... more
