We enjoyed 4 nights at Sovigliano. Claudia and her family were fantastic - very welcoming. The rooms, garden , swimming pool were spot on - maintained to an extremely high standard. The swimming pool has the best view ever and is carefully looked after by Claudia's father every day. The family suite is perfect- - 1 twin, 1 double and... More

This farmhouse on a small olive and grape producing farm is the most charming experience for a visit to Tuscany! Claudia and her mother Patrice are delightful. We had our own cottage with access to the pool and seating to watch the sun rise and set over the countryside. The nights are so very quiet and peaceful. The location was... More

Our family of four (two young adult daughters) just spent two nites at Sovigliano. I could have easily spent a week here to "Go Slow Italy" which was the book from which I learned about Sovigliano. The family suite was not available however we had two bedrooms that were at the end of the hallway with its own entry which... More

I have not enough space here to write about how much I loved staying with Claudia and here family at this beautiful Tuscan homestead, so I'll try and keep it brief. I was staying alone for a week with Claudia and Patrizia, and it was the most relaxing, soul-nourishing week I've had ever. For what you pay, and what you... More

A little piece of heaven on earth - Patrice the owner cannot do enough for you - views are brilliant and the rooms full of character - if you want to know why Tuscany is so loved stay at Sovigliano and you'll soon know.

We had the best time at SoVigliano! There were 8 of us and the house was plenty of room. The grounds were beautiful and the pool was refreshing! The Bicego family was so accommodating to us, I felt like familia. Claudia and Patrizia's cooking was so delicious we ate everything on our plates!!! Cannot get enough Too much Tuscan food,... More

We have just spent a week in Sovigliano with family and we had a lovely time. The view is incredible and it is very relaxing. My 3 year old daughter loved playing in the pool. Patrizia and Claudia were very friendly and helpful. It is close to Firenze and Sienna where you can go and visit for a day. Don't... More

Sovigliano is hidden away in the Tuscan hills of Tarvanelle. It is close to the town where you can park to take the bus to Firenze, Siena, etc. or drive to lovely villages, such as San Gimignano where, among other things, is a wonderful shop with hand-made lace items that is worth a visit. But the best things about Sovigliano... More

We met my entire family here, and they could not have been friendlier or more helpful. It is an amazing place and more peaceful than you can imagine. Beautiful views. My brothers family stayed 2 weeks in the apartment and it was huge and beautiful. They will cook you a meal, albeit pricey, it was a wonderful home cooked meal.... More

Sovigliano was the perfect base for our exploration of the Tuscan countryside. The houses were built in the 13th-15th century time-frame but are updated with modern amenities. It is located within 0.5-2 hours driving distance of most major towns, and we could usually visit 2 towns in a day at a moderately easy pace. Unlike another reviewer on this website,... More
