Our trip was to consist of 2 days to explore Florence and 2 days to explore the Tuscan hills/wineries. When deciding where to stay, the choice was to either stay in a villa out in Chianti and drive to Florence, or stay in Florence and drive to the hills. Staying in Florence at Villa La Vedetta was by far the... More

We had a wonderful stay at Villa La Vedetta. We lucked out with a room on the corner overlooking the pool, which had an incredible, sweeping view of the Duomo, Arno, and the rest of Florence. The rooms were nice...can't say anything bad about them. Good size and all the amenities that we expected and needed. The pool was useful... More

I studied abroad in Florence and got to see/experience the city in many ways. The views from this hotel are magnificent. It truly is the perfect distance to get away from the busy part of the city, but close enough to easily shuttle into the city during the day. That's right, I said shuttle. This hotel offers a FREE shuttle... More

Stayed in Villa la Vedetta for a weekend and had an overall great experience. Reading previous reviews about the noise, could certainly either deny it or consider it to be a lucky stay since villa was more an oasis of peace than anything else. The villa is a little out of town (about 15-20minutes walk) but the views of the... More

Yes, this hotel is up on the hill and a bit of a stroll to the city center, but the views are worth it! We had room 101 and a huge view of the city. The breakfast was outstanding, the bar and service fantastic and the desk staff very helpful. Laura was great, giving us many restaurants to try that... More

A really lovely chic hotel with stunning views of Florence. The only down side is its about 20 minutes walk from town centre, not so bad in terms of time but hotel is set back on hill so walking to town is fine all down hill but the return journey is worth a taxi ride which is about 12 euros... We stayed at this hotel for 4-nights in mid September. It's a lovely setting, very green, fantastic view of Florence. It's clean and well-maintained. The 20-30 minute walk to the center of town was good exercise and nice scenery along the way. The service is good and the staff very pleasant. There were two things that were very disappointing. My... More

away from it all yet very close to downtown. the Hotel is a smart ,elegant and not obvious pick to enjoy Florence. The site is amazing, rooms large and elegant, and the view is breathtaking. A nice pool with very elegant garden surrounding make the stay a unique experience. When booking request the city view (may need to pay extra in high... More

My husband and I were married at this hotel in a private ceremony out front on September 1, 2014. It was an elopement, and we corresponded in advance with the hotel staff just to let them know, but we didn't ask for any special accommodations. When we arrived, they told us we were upgraded from their basic room to one... More
