We booked this "hotel" last minute for two nights through Venere.it and we got an email confirmation. We took a train from Rome to Florence and walked to the "hotel." There we rang the doorbell and barely made it one flight of stairs when the woman who owns this establishment yells down the stairs, asking who I am. When I... More

The hotel is about 10 minutes from the station and about two minutes from the Cathedral. The room was spotless as was the bathroom. The bathroom was separate from the bedroom and had its own key, so you have to be dressed to get to it, which could be inconvenient. It did not have wifi (a visitor had broken the... More

I was pleasantly surprised by this hotel as it was much nicer in reality than it apeared in the pictures. The communal areas are bright and beautifuly decorated and the shared bathroom was imaculate. Our room was big and we had our own sink and fan. The woman who checked us in and out was lovely and made us feel... More

Brilliant location, right in the centre of the city meaning everything is an easy walk. The owner Dialetta is very friendly and welcoming and has fantastic knowledge of where to find the best food in Florence, we had our best meal of the week at her recommendation! Our room was spacious with big french doors that opened out to a... More

We had a lovely stay at Hotel Canada. The lady was very friendly and the rooms are very clean. The location is great, just next to the duomo, but since it is a busy street it can be very noisy here. As bars close late and the streets get cleaned early in the morning. So if you are light sleeper,... More

After reading some of the previous reviews, I am not sure where these people think they stayed. We spent two nights here two weeks ago and everything was wonderful. We had an excellent room on the inner courtyard that provided a refreshing breeze at night despite the 35 degree C temperatures during the day. Our hostess was gracious and extremely... More

If you're looking for service this is not the place. Rooms are very clean. No aircon just a fan. Hot water is limited and plenty of stairs to climb. You have to be in by 1am or you sleep on the street. Overall good location if you disregard the rest.

The hotel is very clean and in a really great part of the city. It is one of the nicest places we have stayed as college backpackers but the hostess made us horribly uncomfortable. She got upset with me for knocking on her office at 22:01 because reception officially closes at 22:00. She doesn't give you you own key and... More

I spent two nights in this hotel because I wanted to visit the city with my girlfriend and our friends recommended it. The staying was comfortable and wonderful, the building is located really close to Duomo Square (in the city center) and from our room we could see Giotto's Campanile! The room was nice and cozy, had a clean bathroom... More

The lady who owns the hotel is rude and inhospitable. She practically left my friends and I on the streets despite a desperate situation. Though it seems like a good location it is noisy and the staircase is awful - there is not even a lift for luggage. Though it is inexpensive, it's not worth your money. Look elsewhere.
