My wife and I spent two nights at this hotel during our trip to Italy, and were very happy with our stay. We requested a room in the back to cut down on the noise, which we were granted. Our room was bigger than I expected and clean, and the AC helped keep us cool. The bathroom was also clean.... more

Me and my wife we have stayed at the end of April in the hotel for 5 nights. We have booked the hotel based on the previous reviews and good ratings on which we fully agreed from our experience at the hotel. The hotel is just 10 mins walk for the train staion and easy to find ( as your... more

My husband and I and our 13 year old stayed here for 3 nights. It was a bit of a trek from the train station with bags on very narrow sidewalks but we managed. The room was on the second floor facing the street ( had an elevator) and on the same floor as the breakfast room. After the hotel... more

It is what it is - nothing fancy, not a lot of staff pampering to your every need. Yes, you have to leave your luggage in the lobby; yes, the staff on duty may have stepped away from the desk to attend to other things; yes, the elevator buttons have a mind of their own. But, the room was comfortable,... more

this is a perfect little hotel quite a good location. it had a little reception area with a lift to all rooms. my room was spacious enough, very clean and tidy and had a beautiful view of the duomo from my window, it was a really cosy room, even though i didn't spend much time in it. the location was... more

I booked this hotel based on the good reviews on trip advisor and was thoroughly disappointed for staying here during my Florence trip. I arrived early at the hotel because I’d taken an overnight trans-Atlantic flight. Upon inquiring whether it’s possible to check-in early, the front desk person was very rude and not accommodating at all. People leave their luggage... more

I was looking for a central hotel, reasonably priced and yet pleasant enough and I was not disappointed. The problem is that I was given a really noisy room, overlooking the Piazza, so I suggest that when you book you mention the fact that you need a quiet room on the other side. The breakfast was fine and the staff... more

I stayed at this hotel only for 1 night with my husband and 9 year old son on our month long tour around Europe. It was refreshing to walk into a hotel and have the staff speak perfect english, good enough to joke around with. Check in was easy and the staff organised to have our car parked immediately!! The... more

Having read the reviews on tripadvisor and seen the hotel website we decided to book the Caravaggio. I wish we hadn't and instead gone with the Castri next door... Oh the hotel wasn't "horrible" but compared to the 3 star we had just stayed in , in Rome, it was a big letdown. The first room we were given was... more

Florence Italy, Hotel Caravaggio [-] Like the other reviews we were not disappointed. The rooms in the back were quiet. The location was great. Very close to the market place and many restaurants listed in Rick Steves. The train was 10 minutes away and the bus was right outside the hotel. There is a small Restaurant next door that has... more
