The staff was VERY friendly and extraordinarily helpful--something very important when traveling. The breakfast was outstanding. The location was very convenient, a quick walk to the train station and right along Via Nazionale where it was easy to find a couple of grocery stores, a laundromat, and all sorts of places to eat. It is very close to the Mercato... More

I was so pleased with the price of this hotel that I was a little concerned about what we might be getting. It was wonderful! We were all really pleased with this hotel. Easy walk with our luggage from the train station, easy walk to the centre of Florence, close to the Mercato Central (which has a great food fair... More

My wife and I stayed at this hotel during a 10 day trip to Europe. This was near the end of our visit so I was already familiar how hotel differed in Europe from the US. This hotel advertised that the rooms were air conditioned, but the unit in our room barely had any cooling. We called the manager and... More

Stayed here for 5 nights in July 2014. We had a family room at the rear of the hotel, which was very quiet and had a direct view of the Duomo. The beds were comfortable, aircon worked well. The room & bathroom were very clean. Plenty of toiletries etc. There is a small seating area downstairs with a bar (didn't... More

This is a small hotel about 10 minutes walk to the train station and the major tourist attractions. The Central Market was very close and many restaurants were within easy walking distance. Breakfast was good, the staff were very friendly and helpful, especially the lovely breakfast waitress, and the rooms were clean. However, our room and the beds (twins, despite... More

Hotel Caravaggio is a short bus ride from the train station. It is situated across the road from a park and within easy walking distance of everything you would want to see in Florence. Our triple room and bathroom were spacious by any standards, let alone Italy's. The room was air-conditioned and it was a wonderful cool retreat after a... More

We stayed at the Hotel Caravaggio and found it very good in terms of location and amenities. A few minutes walk to the major sites in Florence (Duomo, Uffizi, Ponte Vecchio, etc.) and close to the S.M Novella train station. Nice breakfast spread and beautiful outdoor patio with a couple of tables if you get their early. Ask for a... More

My wife and I, and another friend stayed here a few years ago. The staff was very friendly, and accommodating. The rooms were among the most comfortable that I experienced in all of Italy. Nice windows that opened to the park. The snacks at breakfast were nice too...and the location was fantastic. Our daughter was in school in Florence at... More
