The hotel was in a great location, with a very effective and friendly staff. The bed was very firm, but that appears to be the norm for Italy. My only real complaint was that the bed was only about 6 ft long, so that the last 6 inches of my legs were hanging out. The shower was also extremely small... More

This was an older hotel, which was not necessarily a bad thing. The actual room was a quad with 2 single beds and a queen bed, with high ceilings so it felt even bigger. The bathroom was clean, although I didn't like the shower door because it was too short (water splashing out, messy). I have to say that this... More

Convenient location for touring Florence. We had a quiet room in the back overlooking the garden with a partial view of the Duomo. Room clean and quiet, had everything we needed. The wifi was the fastest we had in Italy. Breakfast was adequate. Only complaint was the bed was very firm.

Very well located, walking distance from both the railway station and the center of Florence. Do not expect very much from rooms, breakfast, nor services. I really did not appreciate the bathroom, wich was really noisy and not so confortable. Waiters were really kind.

Stayed here for one week in September 2014.We had a quiet room at the back of the hotel with a partial view of the Duomo & San Lorenzo through trees.Although a small room , it had everything we needed, including a remote control for the air con so we could control it ourselves. It was also one of the quietest air... this is a 3 star hotel; which means that it will be comfortable and not deluxe. Our room was quite large - I estimate about 14 x 18 feet with a bed which was larger than an American Queen and not as big as a King. There was an additional cot in the room which also contained a safe, flat... More

A well located city hotel, close to the Duomo and 10 minutes walk from the main railway station. Reasonable sized comfortable room with fridge, safe and tea and coffee making facilities. Decent breakfast including: fruit, yoghurts, cheese, cold meat, rolls and nice cakes. pleasant staff, small outdoor seating area. Close to a number of decent restaurants. Good value for money,... We stayed at the Hotel Caravaggio for a four-day trip to Florence. It's not de luxe but rooms were large, air conditioned and well equipped and very very clean. This was a perfect tourist hotel and was a short walk from most of Florence's key sights. The breakfast was excellent and the reception staff knowledgable. I would definitely stay here... More

Less than a 10 minute walk from the train station. Check in easy . Room on 2nd floor directly above restaurant and next to hotel with building work but room quiet and comfortable. Clean room , bathroom and shower fine. Breakfast was fine - meats , cereal , pastries - remember to ask waitress for cappuccino. Good location for walking... More

We stayed three nights at the Caravaggio, in a third floor room overlooking the pretty piazza. There was no street noise at this level and easily accessed by a lift. The room was comfortable, clean and had a powerful shower. Breakfast was excellent which we took on the terrace overlooking a pleasant garden. The location meant that all the sites... More
