My husband and I stayed here in May we were getting married at the Palazzo Vecchio, the hotel itself is lovely. The restaurant with seating outside in the garden is so relaxing and the food is wonderful. The bar staff Joe and Pietro were the nicest staff we have ever come accross on our travels and we actually enjoyed spending... more

Well, we were really looking forward to stay at the Athenaeum given its chic boutique style and 'personal' branding. However, when we turned up we were told that we did not have a room available. This was shocking given that we had in fact paid several months before. We were told this was due to personal reasons of another guest... more

This hotel has it all. Friendly and helpful staff especially in the restaurant and bar although reception were good as well. The restaurant is very good. The room had air -conditioning which was a relief due to the hot weather. I have stayed at many hotels but this has to rate as the best. more

I stayed for 5 nights in the hotel in May and I count my blessings that things turned out very nicely - I loved the nice, clean and modern room facilities, courteous and helpful staff in all locations of the hotel ( Reception, restuarant, bar, housekeeping, breakfast service etc). The hotel is in a central location and within walking distance... more

My husband, 17-year old son and I just spent a week at the Hotel Athenaeum while visiting my daughter who is studying in Florence for the semester. We were very pleased with our decision to stay here. It's a small hotel with contemporary decor. While our room wasn't large, it was very well equipped, and the breakfast was quite good.... more

Dear Guest, we feel very grateful and proud about your nice review. Our guest’s satisfaction and appreciation are our main goals and, you are right when you say that our staff is very happy to work here; that’s maybe why they are always awarded by compliments from our clientele. It’s also nice to see that some people don’t think we...

hotel is ugly on outside but beautiful inside. rooms are newly refurbished, stylish and clean. only downside is if you have a front room (facing street) you get two bits of noise, the street which has lots of mopeds and buses and the elevator. So ask for once towards the back. Breakfast was excellent and large and included. for extra... more

I would largely concur with most of the reviews below. This is a very modern hotel. All of the staff are very well mannered, helpful and speak more than enough English to help out. As it's very modern, there's a touch of sterility about the building and the rooms. It's not the kind of hotel you would spend most of... more

The hotel was initially quite hard to find, and does not look at all impressive from the street. However once inside the hotel is very modern, staff spoke good English. There are leather chairs in the reception area and the bar has artistic fruit arrangements. It is vey relaxing and the staff in the Bar are excellent. The restautant offers... more

Dear Guest, We are very sorry to hear that you didn’t have a good stay with us, however you appreciated some details about the hotel and staff. Excellent hotel in great location just outside the main centre of Firenze. Hotel was very clean and the room very spacious. Our 3 night stay here was very enjoyable. Breakfast was a typical continental breakfast with a reasonable choice. more

What a lovely change from the norm eh! We did this one on the cheaper side so we booked off last minute to fly from Luton to Pisa then got a train to Florence. Total of £492 all in for 4 nights BnB! The flight was easy, Luton airport has really come on since the last time I flew from... more
