things we liked about the hotel 1) the receptionist was really helpful and nice 2) close by to bus stop 3) great place to eat nearby (about 10 mins walk) - straight down the road to turn left and walk a little bit, delicious spaghetti. restaurant run by a lovely old woman. very helpful and nice. 4) nice little balcony... more

It pays to read reviews. In this case we did not and that is a pity, We definitely will not recommend this hotel. Under no circumstances. A third rate hotel and far too expensive even for a third rate hotel. It is in desperate need of some fixes. Everything is in a stage of disrepair. The TV wasn't working, there... more

I read all of the reviews and was totally prepared for the worst when we left for Florence. Once we found the bus stop to head to the hotel, we piled onto a crammed bus that stopped about a half mile from our hotel and kicked us all off, i assume, because his shift was over. So my boyfriend and... more

This hotel was absolutely the worst I have ever seen. After looking at the room I immediately left and looked for a new hotel. There was mold on the floor and in the shower. The room smelled and had numerous mosquitos. Furthermore, the dust was caked on the lighting fixtures and there was an 8 month expired candy bar in... more

This place was horrible. The hot water did not work in our room, and the management kept giving us a run around as to when it would be fixed. We stayed there three days, and no one had come to fix it. They also refused to move us to another room until the last night, six hours before we were... more

Where do I start... advertised with airconditing which is ancient and doesn't work, this hotel is disgusting. The breakfast was a joke, very bad biscuits and cordial basically. The bathroom was very old and filthy, the window security shutters did not close, I could go on and on, oh and it is at least 40 minutes walk to the centre... more

This place must be improving.. We arrived late in evening and the gentleman at reception was most helpful with car parking and our load of luggage - raining too! Room was fine - clean and comfortable and everything in good order. Breakfast was about average for a 'continental' Joy to meet the lovely cheerful Sheila @ reception. She gave us... more

I have to say, I was incredibly shocked that this was rated as a 3* hotel after we arrived. My boyfriend and I had booked this hotel after the company we booked with said it would be a room with a river view, but it wasn't even on the river, and our view was of the building across the road!... more

The location of this hotel was pretty awful for me, as someone relying on public transportation and walking to get around. I tried to take a bus from the train station to this hotel but got desperately lost and had to walk back to town (the bus station had absolutely no maps available to show where the bus was going,... more
