This hotel is very well located two blocks from the Duomo and at walking distance from all tourist locations. We were a large family attending a wedding in Tuscany, and we could not have selected a better hotel for our needs when we visited Florence. The family that runs the hotel is "first class" and greeted us warmly and attended... More

Beautiful hotel, felt like a villa in the city. Convenient location, very close to the Dumo and orher tourist locations. Great service. Near great restaurants. Service was excellent. Very close to train station.

Beautiful, clean hotel with a room that we thought was quite large, especially for an Italian hotel room with a king-sized bed. The location was perfect; near everything and we could drop back in when needed during the day. I saw the reviews complaining about noise; we had no problem, maybe because we had a room at the back. Owners and staff... More

Contrary to previous reviews I found the staff in this great hotel to be friendly, helpful and very accommodating. They responded promptly to all our requests and booked all our trips , they even printed off our return flights home as I had forgotten. The rooms were clean and comfortable and the breakfast was the usual continental buffet. The location... More

Lovely clean & friendly hotel, in a central location. However, ensure that you take along earplugs. The noise from the bar bar below, and the street, along with the church bells will ensure that you are up all night & not in a good way. Maybe a room at the rear of the hotel, would be better? Xx

Can't beat the location: 1 block from Duomo. See photo - that's 100 feet from Hotel. On quiet street with restaurants & shopping nearby. Nice little breakfast with eggs, potatoes and great coffee. A nice change from brioche, brioche or brioche in Venice. Staff was friendly & helpful with ideas of where to visit. Room was big enough, clean. Y,... More

Staff was rude and unhelpful. No desire to make their hotel accommodating and welcoming. I was in the lobby when a couple entered asking if they could use the bathroom and they outright told them off and used such a harsh tone with them - I felt so bad for them. Seems like they are tired of tourists and have... More

Do not stay here. Trust the reviews that give this hotel a bad rating. I have no idea how this Hotel has more than a 1 star rating.. The staff owners are really rude, disrespectful and downright horrible to their guest. Rooms are small and shower very small. If you are a least bit overweight you will not fit. The owners... More

This is a pleasant hotel in an excellent location. It is just round the corner from the famous cathedral making it very central. The family who run it were friendly and helpful. The rooms were clean and comfy. The tariff was very competitive and compared well with other accommodation in the city.

A lovely hotel in the centre if Florence, just behind the Duomo. Couldn't have asked for more - room and bathroom was spotless and was surprised at how large the room was. Fresh, clean bedding and towels everyday and we were so close to all the main attractions. Fantastic for being so close to the piazzas! Would definitely come here... More

Staying in Duomo

Neighborhood Profile
Duomo
Florentia, as it was called by Latins, is permeated by an eternal beauty spread in all corners of the city. The historic center is characterized by the immensity of the Duomo, able to transport tourists into the brightest age of Florence: the Renaissance. Who does not know the Brunelleschi Dome, San Giovanni Baptistery and the Giotto’s Campanile? Everything is enclosed here and it would be easy to imagine the city as it was in ancient times, with maids walking in the main square and horses carrying coaches. Nowadays, roads are busy with street artists. Rustic Tuscan bakeries give way to fashion shops; just stop for a few minutes in the middle of Piazza della Repubblica to enjoy the colors and sweet melody of the carousel that will bring back great memories from anyone’s childhood.
