it was very close to the train station (firenze, S.M.N) which was good and convenient. The hotel room size itself was fine just very outdated furniture and had a wierd smell. We tried spraying perfume but it didnt work for long. The towels kinda of smelled like vinegar. The blanket was those old, rug looking blankets, not the new nice,... more

We recently spent four nights here and were extremely happy with the hotel and service. Right near the train station and a short walk (less than 10 minutes) to the Duomo and center, it was convenient to everything including some excellent trattorias nearby. The hotel offers European old world charm and service combined with modern spacious bathrooms and conveniences. The... more

We stayed here for 3 nights. It is very close to the train station which is good for coming and going, but that also means that you are close to a lot of "sketchy" areas and what all the books warn you about pick-pocketing. Also, it is not really close to anything but the train station, so it was a... more

The hotel is in a great location -a 5 minute walk from the train station. The directions given by the hotel, however, are terrible and not very clear. The street on which the hotel is located is dark and for a single traveler, a little uncomfortable. The hotel staff is businesslike and professional, though not overly friendly. The rooms are... more

A wonderful hotel and definitely deserves its four star rating. The staff was very friendly and helpful; and communicating in English was not a problem. The reservation was in order and there were no extra charges. The room was quite large for a European hotel in this price range and was very clean. The bathroom was also spacious, modern and... more

This is not the first time I've been in Florence. But this is the first time I had to choose the hotel by myself. I've read hundreds of reviews and this one was the best for me:) Just 5 munutes walk from the railway station, great stuff. Great interiors. We had triple on the 2nd floor with a great garden!!! though... more

We choose the hotel because of its proximity to the Station. I only wish the directions given were accurate and that the hotel staff could have been more welcoming to assist with the bags. Aside from the initial hiccup, the staff were good and polite. We stayed 2 nights. The room was reasonable size, nice, quiet with a terrace and... more

Appearances wise, this is the nicest hotel I stayed in while traveling in Italy. The room is well decorated, the elevators were nice and worked, there were automatic doors at the entrance, and an automatic key card system. There was a very large breakfast spread, although it wasn't necessarily attended to as fast as it could have been. Some of... more

Just came back from Italy. Stayed at this hotel for two nights, we had two rooms. Both are very comfortable. The hotel is 5min walking away from train station, about 10-20min walking from major attractions. Florence isn't that big and safe in the evening, so not that bad. It is on a bus street, but the double windows keep the... more
