I have spent one night at the JK. All very pleasant. Good looking rooms and very well decorated , silent environment . There in a beautiful roof top tha can be used in the summer for drinks and snacks. The bar and the living rooms are very comfortable and the service is good.

Incredible service, ambiance, accommodations, and location! Could not have asked for a better place to stay that made our time in Florence so special! The staff was so helpful and accommodating - I really felt they went above and beyond to help us!

Florence is always worth a visit, but no other luxury hotel will allow you to stay on such a historic square as Piazza Santa Maria Novella. My duplex suite overlooked the Piazza, and I wish I could have stayed for more than one night. The name "J.K. Place" is slightly odd, but don't let that distract you from the fantastic... More

This was the third time we have stayed at our "home" in Firenze. Our six night stay allowed us to really settle in and also really get to know everyone involved with their amazing operation! You would be hard pressed ever to find a more professional, personable and passionate staff anywhere. They set the bar very high and it keeps... More

Amazing time spent at this boutique hotel conveniently located in Florence. The staff was extremely helpful without being overbearing or pushy. They knew when to offer an opinion and when to simply state the facts. While the rooms were expected smaller than US rooms, they were very comfortable and made to feel like home. I would recommend this property to... More

A small boutique hotel, ideally located. We found the amenities and service to be more than excellent. Every detail had been stylishly thought through. The rooms were incredibly comfortable, the communal areas elegant and homely. The breakfast buffet was fabulous and dinner was excellent. The staff were highly trained, knowledgable and friendly. We cant recommend this hotel more highly and... More

Truly top notch hotel. Great location. The staff there were excellent. Everything they recommended by way of restaurants was spot on. Anything you need, they will get. Wine opener, glasses, etc. Small hotel, but huge personality. Truly 5 star experience. Free wifi. If I ever return to Florence, this is where we'll stay again.

jk place had the best hospitality, room amenities, chic vibe, food, atmosphere and conveniently located near the train station. The staff is committed to kindness and care of all their guests!! The General Manager Claudio is most impressive with writing a book about Florence and the best places to go.

We chose the J K Place as a stop over for a short weekend in Florence. Very convenient location. The staff was extremely attentive. The JK is small so the level of staff to guests is excellent. The bar and lounge are a perfect place to unwind after a day of sightseeing. Our room faced the square and was beautifully... More

Staying in Santa Maria Novella

Neighborhood Profile
Santa Maria Novella
Santa Maria Novella train station welcomes the majority of the people arriving in Florence, which might explain the hectic pace. Commuters and tourists come across the constant hustle and bustle of the station before exiting, taking a few steps and stopping amazed in Piazza di Santa Maria Novella. It is impossible not to admire the the square, housing one of the most charming basilicas in Florence. The area has plenty of local spots to taste Tuscan specialties, but don’t stop in the main streets alone; the narrower side streets always ensure satisfaction. The huge Parco Delle Cascine provides a solution to the need for a green area as well as a historic welcome in the form of a bronze statue of King Vittorio Emanuele II riding a horse.
