We stayed here for a couple of nights. Friendly welcoming reception staff who helped with whatever questions we had. The room was large and spacious- I had brought my wheelchair with me so the hotel was accessible. Really lovely big marble bathroom. Comfortable room. Very clean. Good breakfast (included) in a really lovely mirrored dining hall downstairs. Beautiful interiors in... More

My wife and I spent 6 nights at the Hotel Santa Maria Novella in late March 2014 while I attended a conference. We have nothing but positives to report for our stay: staff were friendly and helpful, our room was spacious and well-appointed with a lovely and elegant bathroom, efficient wireless internet, and plenty of closet space. Our room overlooked... More

My family stayed here in early March for 2 nights. Very close to train station and all of the sites in Florence (walk everywhere). No smoking, which was important to us - GREAT breakfast each morning. Three of us stayed in a room with queen bed and sleeper sofa and had more than enough room - very large bathroom as... More

A fantastic boutique hotel in Santa Maria Novella piazza. We walked right from the train station! A great location, blocks from the duomo. Beautiful rooms and bathrooms. Ask for a room with view of piazza, beautiful at night. A delicious breakfast buffet. The only problem we did have was with the heat. With the winter weather being warmer than expected,... More

We stayed here for a week and were able to walk to all of the "must see" places on our visit list; the longest walk was 20 minutes. The hotel is quiet; the rooms are spacious - not always true for Italian hotels; the staff is friendly and efficient; the bar is well-run. We would definitely stay here again.

We just returned from a wonderful long weekend in Florence. We have been there several times but this was our first time at this hotel. The location is fabulous!! We walked everywhere! The staff were brilliant! I had a problem with the hairdryer in my room and there was a new one in there when I came back after a... More

This hotel is rather peculiar. It is right in the center of Florence, few steps away from the central railway station (far enough not to be bothered by it but within walking distance even with carry-on luggages). The style of the hotel is right away evident by the absence of any glaring neon light on the outside. Just a small... More

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay here. We had booked through Advventure Bellissimo and are so pleased we choose the upgraded hotel. The furnishings were opulent, the marble bathroom out of this world and we felt like royalty. The staff were lovely and we helped a new receptionist with her basic english- she helped us with our basic italian! The location is... More

This was my first stay in a hotel in Florence, having stayed with friends in the past. The last time I was there it was summer, and the place was jam packed. Late January was the perfect time to go. With the city to ourselves, this was the perfect launching point. We were traveling by train, and the hotel is... More
