Great position with wonderful room staff and catering. Room was large and very clean. Fantastic views towards the Duomo and entertainment in the street below. Room was kept cool during a very hot spell when we were there. Very good experience.

Great location, nice clean rooms, good breakfast. The only downside is the lack of aircondition. That is pretty important when temperature outside is 39C. Also, hotel is locked after 11pm, so if you arrive late then you'd be required to check in and pick up the key in other location in about 500m away. That is not a problem, but... More

We stayed at Palazzo Ruspoli for 4nights. Room is clean and comfortable. Receptionist is helpful too. The most amazing thing is the location. Just 2 steps from Basilica di Santa Maria del Fiore!!! We enjoyed our stay a lot. The only thing is breakfast is not our taste as there is no hot dishes....

Good location to discover Florence. Out of the door and you're there. Good enough in all aspects. Not an identikit business hotel and all the better for it. Obliging staff, decent value and has a gelateria next door for a last treat before bed! Some noise.in the evening/night from the street below but that's the trade off for the location.

I think the hotel reseption and concierge service are very imprortant that both we had in Palazzo Ruspoli hotel in florance. Giuliana was always friendly helpful and doing everything from the heart. ı would like to thank her again from here. Thank you so much Giuliana:)))

I stayed at the Palazzo Ruspoli for 6 nights in mid-June and would recommend the Ruspoli for anyone looking to stay in the heart of Old Florence without breaking the bank. The Location: literally a handful of steps away from the Duomo in the pedestrianised area of the city. Incredibly easy to find and located on the 3rd floor of... More

What an absolutely stunning small hotel. You enter what appears to be an impressive house on the main street opposite the Duomo. There is little indication it is a hotel so look carefully for the brass door plate showing the name of the hotel. The rooms are incredible - high ceilings, shuttered windows and a shabby chic style of decoration.... More

Stayed here for 3 nights, we checked in straight away and were given the keys to our room. Room was big, and clean, overlooked the street which was nice but very noisy at night times. Location is great and you can walk to all the main places within a few minutes. Breakfast was okay, basic but was fine to get... More

central location but pre-dawn delivery noise was very disturbing, value room had no view, no common space, limited front desk hours made check-in a bit hectic but coffee was great. breakfast was good and the coffee was great. the bed was large but it seemed worn and there was a ridge in the middle that was uncomfortable. our three days... Dear Guest, Thank you for your comment on TripAdvisor: understanding our Guest's perception allows us to improve our commitment to improve our services. Palazzo Ruspoli is an ancient Florentine house, renovated. The soundproofing is not covered in the services of this old house in effect. Our B&B also offers rooms overlooking the courtyard which are definitely quieter. We are terribly... More

I stayed at the hotel the last week of November 2014 . A friend and I selected the hotel from a local travel agent. After reading some of the comments posted on trip advisor, I wasn't too sure I had made the correct decision. I was so happy to find out that it was the best find ever. We loved... More

Staying in San Lorenzo

Neighborhood Profile
San Lorenzo
San Lorenzo’s lively merchants shout out from behind stalls with an array of products in one of the most traditional neighborhoods in Florence. Different ethnic groups join together in the large outdoor market of San Lorenzo and in the Central Market, a vast multi-floored building. Visitors are bound to fall in love with this area and in particular, with its variety of food, especially those focusing on Florentine dishes as well as international selections. Nobody leaves San Lorenzo without a shopping bag in hand or with an empty stomach.
