I had a lovley experience at this hotel. The location is excellent and the room I was given was HUGE. I awoke to beautiful views of the Duomo and the Medici Chapel. I spent 5 nights in this room and enjoyed every minute. I don't ask much from hotel staff- i was traveling alone, so I was only there to... more

Stayed for the weekend in this charming hotel. I chose this hotel because it looked charming, centrally located at the same time easy to get to from the ring road. You can park your car for a few minutes in front of the hotel when you arrive and check in. Then they will call the garage to pick it up.... more

The entrance is through the ground floor of an office building that smells very bad. You should take the elevator to go to the third floor, where is really the entrance of this small hotel. The rooms and breakfast are good enough for the price. The noise is terrible, specially for the rooms with views to the street. Main advantage:... more

The Palazzo Ruspoli is, as mentioned in the other reviews, the top two floors of a commercial building with a medical clinic and offices. Its best and worst feature was its location. For the best part, you can walk anywhere in Florence in a half hour, and it's a half block to the Duomo. However, since traffic is routed around... more

Stayed 3 nights at this hotel in October 05. We booked the accommodation direct with the hotel and were given a superior room for the price of a standard. We had requested a room at the back of the hotel (as previous reviews advised) but this could not be guaranteed and we ended up with one at the front of... more

In September 2004 I booked a trip to Florence for myself and my 11 year old niece. I found a great package which was ridiculously affordable and was given a choice of hotels. While the Palazzo Ruspoli was not rated as highly as a few of the other hotels offered, I was amazed at the photos of the rooms on... more

greal location less than a block from the Duomo and within walking distance of everything. the location is a little weird, you have to push through crowds waiting for the bus in front of the door to get in. yes, it is noisy if you want to nap at 2 PM - but we had no trouble sleeping at night.... more

The hotel itself is very nice, and you can almost reach out and touch the Duomo from its 3rd floor location, but if you have a problem with noise, this is not the hotel for you. The rooms in the front of the hotel are above a busy street with buses, ambulances and people going by all night long. Also,... more

Palazzo Ruspoli was a fantastic hotel, I thought. Central location -- we could walk everywhere in no time! Close to restos, the Duomo, open market, great shopping ... and gelato! It took, maybe, 10 minutes to walk from the train station. The hotel itself was just as advertised. As everyone else has noted, yes, there was a nasty stink once... more
