This b&b is in the city center but a few blocks from the busy city center and a short walk to anything in Florence, trains, food, duomo and the river. The breakfast was just what we needed and the rooms were perfect for my wife and I and 15 year old son. Just down the street was a cafe where... More

We stayed here for three nights in June. The location of the hotel is great: it is near the Duomo and the Accademia, but slightly removed from the tourist madness at the heart of Florence. The hotel has a lovely courtyard and the breakfasts were very good. However, our room, on the ground floor, had mold in the bathroom shower... More

Residenza Il Villino is a gem. My husband and I were welcomed by Giovanni upon arrival. He lugged both our heavy suitcases up three flights to our room without saying a word! Our room was lovely and had a nice view of the Duomo. Both the room and bathroom were spacious; however the shower stall was quite small. Breakfast was... More

I was really looking forward to staying 4 nights at the Residenza Il Villino for a long weekend. After a stressful work week, we were looking for a good home base to rest at night and just being tourists during the day. The best thing I can say is the location. Its only a quick stroll to some of the... More

The location is fabulous- minutes from the Duomo and tons of restaurants, and Florence is so compact that we easily walked to all the areas and attractions that we visited. Giovanni was extremely helpful and hospitable. Breakfast was delicious. I loved the style of the room and that I really felt like I was in Florence because of it, yet... More

My son and I stayed for 3 nights. We traveled around Italy and this was, by far, our favorite hotel experience. The location is close to the center of town and yet the courtyard and setting provide a peaceful respite. Our hosts were terrific at giving us restaurant recommendations and making sure we felt cared for during our stay. The... More

My wife and I stayed 3 nights at this B&B, and had a wonderful time. The room itself was roomy, charming, and had a little balcony where we could sit and enjoy a snack or coffee while overlooking the quaint little courtyard below. Planter boxes of roses gave the balcony a very cozy and romantic feel. The bathroom was also... More

I have to echo others who hailed this B&B as a great find. The entrance belies a beautiful find. My friend and I were lucky enough to stay in the room with the private balcony, though other rooms looked out over the courtyard. Florence is a bustling city with plenty of tourists, but you will easily forget all of that... More

Characterful B&B, located close enough to all the sights, yet quiet enough to ensure peaceful sleep. Rooms were immaculate and spacious with plenty of wardrobe space and decorated in a simple but charming way. I found my bed a little too firm, but my two companions were happy enough with theirs. Breakfast room overlooks a pleasant courtyard.

My wife and I went to Florence where we met up with another couple from the Chicago area. We had picked out Residenza Il Villino after studying the many places to stay that Florence offers. We were so fortunate to have selected Il Villino. The residence itself offers a good location to Florence, very nice, clean and quiet accommodations, and,... More
