Super hotel, lovely people and perfect location for exploring Florence. We would thoroughly recommend. The rooms were finished to a high standard and you felt you were staying in a small palace! There was plenty of choice for Breakfast. Staff were very helpful and offered plenty of advice on what to see and do.

This is like a dream. The sitting room is like a Visconti film. There are books showing how the owners have renovated the palace to its c19 glory, and photos of the original family who lived there. Quite unique. Very, very comfortable and not extortionate for the quality.

This is a stunningly beautiful small hotel literally steps to Il Duomo. The rooms are gorgeous and the service is first class. Shamila the housekeeper has a smile on her face every morning with a cheery greeting. The continental breakfast is fantastic and it feels like you really are a guest in a palace. It is an easy walk from... More

This property almost adjacent to the Duomo in Florence is none like you have ever seen. We stayed in the "Dome Suite", a huge space literally across the street from the Duomo . As a Bed and Breakfast it is great. Wonderful breakfast, attentive staff. Reception staff is very knowledgable about everything Florence.

We stay 3 nights in this amazing boutique hotel. It has 10 rooms so book it early. The hotel is so close to the Duomo all you have to do is walk 50 feet and you are there. We were upgraded to a suite and it was perfect. At night we would open the window and could here the music... More

As we stepped from the cab at the entrance, a glance over our shoulder, and there was the Duomo, just a few meters away. As we entered, it quickly became clear the Niccolini Palace is a special experience. The entire establishment has been created with style, and attention to detail. If one spends ones days experiencing the culture and history... More

Being next to the Duomo is a blessing but to be directly facing it is a superb bonus. This historic residence is like no other dating from the 16th century. Entered from the street level, the reception is up one flight of stairs (or lift) near the grand living room with period paintings, antiques and grand chandeliers. We stand in... More

If I sound like a broken record when I'm reviewing (enthusiastically) the Italian hotels we have patronized, it's because: A. We have been to Italy several times so we are not new to finding quality hotels in Italy, and B. I rarely review the less than stellar experiences because...who cares! The Palazzo Niccolini Al Duomo falls into the "Reviewed" "enthusiastic"... More

This is an incredible boutique hotel in an old palazzo just steps from the Duomo on a quiet little street. Huge doors open off of the street with Duomo looming above as part of a surreal and magical experience. The hotel is perfect with a welcoming and helpful owner, unique rooms full of relics (and secret doors leading to the... More

one of the highlights of our trip was staying in this hotel. Everything was well thought out and the staff was very helpful. The suite was large, clean and well located. The management is intereested and the breakfast was consistently good. If I return to Florence I would not stay anywhere else. It was a steal for the money.
