On our recent trip to Florence, we decided to listen to our friends on TripAdvisor and stay at Palazzo Niccolini al Duomo. It was beautiful. We stayed at the Bed and Breakfast for a week. Traveling Italy for 2 weeks and spent 3 days in Florence. The location is centrally located with multiple cultural opportunities within an easy walk. Lodging and Staff were very accommodating. Would stay there again and recommend for anyone interested.

We were very pleased with our stay. The building is excellently located and is an interesting place in itself. A nice common room with coffee on tap and a lovely breakfast each morning. Staff were friendly and the room (room 01), though not very spacious itself, had a large and very nice bathroom and was very light, with efficient air... More

You cannot beat the view of the Duomo from the honeymoon suite. It takes your breath away as you can almost reach out and touch it. Palazzo Niccolini is centrally located and a wonderful place to stay. Our preferred residence when in town.

We had a wonderful stay at the Plazza Niccolini al Duomo in Florence. The hotel and the staff were wonderful. The hotel is conveniently located to many of the sites in Florence and we walked to most of museums and churches. I would highly recommend this hotel.

This is such a beautiful small hotel with stunning rooms and an amazing location, I can't imagine staying anywhere else in Florence. Despite being so close to the Duomo, it is an oasis of calm. The service is excellent - friendly, warm and efficient.

We just recently returned home from our honeymoon in Italy and during part of our trip we stayed at the Palazzo Niccolini al Duomo (4 days 3 nights). We actually had our honeymoon gifted to us so we had no idea what to expect. Upon arrival, we were greeted warmly by the owner who was so sweet and welcoming. She... More

The Palazzo Niccolini is our favorite hotel in the world. It is small but has all of the services you need and the rooms are spacious, thoughtfully designed, very clean and super comfortable. We have stayed in a couple of different rooms and were thrilled with both. The service is first rate. Whatever you need or want, the women working... More

This hotel was the crown jewel of our European vacation. With the very large rooms and frescos on the walls and ceilings you feel like your a Florentine aristocrat living during the Renaissance. Except that you have things like Nespresso machines, TV, complementary Internet etc. Their staff was so welcoming and accommodating - even to a family of seven. The... More

During the hottest time of the year, it was an unbeatable luxury to be able return to our haven hotel-home for a "siesta" before braving all the wonders of art and architecture again. Being so totally situated in the middle of everything is an unbelievable convenience. Thanks to all the staff, which helped make our time in Florence perfect! Hands... More

Staying in Duomo

Neighborhood Profile
Duomo
Florentia, as it was called by Latins, is permeated by an eternal beauty spread in all corners of the city. The historic center is characterized by the immensity of the Duomo, able to transport tourists into the brightest age of Florence: the Renaissance. Who does not know the Brunelleschi Dome, San Giovanni Baptistery and the Giotto’s Campanile? Everything is enclosed here and it would be easy to imagine the city as it was in ancient times, with maids walking in the main square and horses carrying coaches. Nowadays, roads are busy with street artists. Rustic Tuscan bakeries give way to fashion shops; just stop for a few minutes in the middle of Piazza della Repubblica to enjoy the colors and sweet melody of the carousel that will bring back great memories from anyone’s childhood.
