Stayed at Hotel Globus 3 nights in mid April. The guys at the front desk, especially Nicola, were very helpful including making reservations, printing vouchers, giving directions and recommending restaurants! The smallish rooms were super clean with very nice size modern bathrooms. I have decided that I would rather have an ample bathroom and a small room! The Globus Hotel... More

I stayed at Globus fro two nights on April 9th. The hotel is close to the train station about 7 minutes walking and another 5 from the Duomo. The location is excellent.. The room where i stayed in was a twin and was a good one. Upon check in, the management had presented me with a bottle of wine for... More

Very nice location, 5 minutes from bus and train station, 5 minutes from d'Uomo. Hotel location nearby some tipical trattorias makes the journey very pleasant. The perfect location doesn't make it noisy, it is quite enough to rest. Very kind and helpful receptionists. Super clean room. Very good breakfast.

We read the reviews of the Globus and were expecting something quite different than what we experienced. In order to reach reception, you have to climb 2 flights of stairs from the street level. The reception area is pretty pathetic looking. On the bright side, the gentlemen who are at the desk, Lukasz and Nikola are wonderful and helped carry the... More

Dear pmschof, first of all I am sorry that you were not happy by choosing our hotel for your stay in Florence. Let me begin from the end and no offense, I DO NOT agree with you when you say that " the reception area looks pathetic" and nevertheless "that hotel needs major renovation and should be closed until they... Average hotel. Quite easy to locate using Google map, at a back street. Staffs were helpful. One thing to comment about was that there were some vague bad smells from blanket and bed sheet. We slept without using blanket. Should improve on the cleaniness. Overall still acceptable for a budget one night stay.

As what many reviewers had mentioned, this hotel is really just next to the main attractions. It is so convenient that we could take a mid day break to freshen up and then continue on to the next attraction. It is also only minutes away from the train station so the location is really perfect. The staff is attentive, friendly... More

The location is close to Train station and across the street from the best restaurant, bistro la capannina, comfortable bed, bathtub, quiet and excellent breakfast. Very pleased. Within walking distance to river and all the sights.

We booked this hotel through travel supermarket as it was a fair price and five minuets walk from major land marks such as the Duomo. We had an amazing time in Florence, the staff at the hotel were extremely friendly, nothing was to much trouble for them. Even when we came home and hadn't had time to grab dinner, the... More
