This hotel was great for us. It is well located in the City, and easy to access. The room was comfortable and clean. Staff were very helpful with maps, tickets, where to go and other information. Breakfast was excellent for this type of facility - wide choice of continental breakfast items.

We stayed at Globus Hotel for one night because our travel changed, leaving us arriving a night earlier than we otherwise would have. To further complicate things - our luggage didn't arrive with us, so we arrived at the hotel with only our travel clothes. The staff liaised with the airline to arrange who were delivering our bags, and also... More

We stayed this week for 3 nights & enjoyed every bit of it. Great location- 5 mins from train station & the main sights. On a busy street but our room was very quiet. The room was small but very contemporary & had everything you needed. Very clean & daily housekeeping/towels etc. The staff were very pleasant & helpful. The... More

Me and my husband stayed in room 304. It was an awesome room! I requested a room with a balcony and they gave us that. The balcony had a table and chairs which we watched the thunderstorms roll in on it. The shower was big yet awkward with the placement of the shower head. The room was a decent size... More

From the hotel you can walk anywhere in Old Florence including the best museums, food and shopping. The hotel breakfast was great, in late afternoon the have a free glass... More

We fell on our feet with this hotel. The location is so central for the historical centre and minutes from the train station. The central food market is on the door step and well worth a visit - make sure to see upstairs too and arrive hungry! The hotel staff were exceptionally helpful, talking us through a map and things... More

We loved this hotel! We are a family of 4(2 teenage boys)and this hotel was perfect. The location is a minute to the central market where we had dinner one night and walking distance to most of the sights. The staff were extremely helpful and the complimentary breakfast and happy hour were plentiful. The rooms were clean and had everything... More

The hotel is close to the railway station (10 min walk) and the central market, also 10 mins to Duomo. Rooms are basic but clean and comfortable. Breakfast is sufficient but can get busy later on, the free drinks at 6.30 are a nice touch. The lift is an interesting experience! They are undergoing an expansion to the ground floor... More

I stayed in this hotel a few years ago and was looking at it for another stay. Great little hotel in the heart of Florence Just a few steps from the Railway Station, Duomo, and great little restaurants all around. The rooms are clean, sleek with modern bathroom. I have read other people mentioning the lift. Yes it is very... More

Staying in San Lorenzo

Neighborhood Profile
San Lorenzo
San Lorenzo’s lively merchants shout out from behind stalls with an array of products in one of the most traditional neighborhoods in Florence. Different ethnic groups join together in the large outdoor market of San Lorenzo and in the Central Market, a vast multi-floored building. Visitors are bound to fall in love with this area and in particular, with its variety of food, especially those focusing on Florentine dishes as well as international selections. Nobody leaves San Lorenzo without a shopping bag in hand or with an empty stomach.
