A great finding in Florence! The hotel is clean, the room was spacious with two king size beds to accommodate the whole family. The guys in the front desk are very kind and helpful. Another asset is the location. Close to the train station and within walking distance to all attractions! The only drawback was the lack of elevator from... More

Dear MariaALesvos, thank you very much for your feedback, we are so pleased you enjoyed your stay at Globus Hotel. You surely noticed your family room with two double beds was just completely remodeled like all the other rooms. The project, involving the whole Hotel, will finally lead to a new lobby area WITH ELEVATOR from street level within approximately... More

The hotel is a short walk from the train station (even with luggages). It's a small little hotel with huge rooms. The staff are nice and friendly. The Duomo & San Lorenzo Market are steps away from the hotel.

We spent two nights at Globus Hotel in Florence in October 2015. The location cannot be beat! The free breakfast was also superb - we really enjoyed it. I thought the hotel offered an excellent value and we would definitely stay there again. 3 minute walk to the most beautiful duomo on Earth!

The staff at Globus Hotel were exceptionally accommodating, pleasant and helpful. There help greatly enriched our Florence experience. Our room was spacious, comfortable, clean & quiet with a nice bathroom. The hotel location is very convenient, about a 6 minute walk from the train station, walking distance to nearly every attraction In Florence. The buffet breakfast was very nice and... More

Hotel is a in a dank area but once inside any concerns are relieved. Nick the front desk agent is excellent and easily the best front office person I have dealt with in ten previous trips to Italian cities. A real service professional, which is so rare outside of the US. My next visit to Florence will include a stay... More

We initially booked a room with Globus hotel via Expedia website, and didn't realize the room that we got was extremely small and the bathroom was tiny. We requested to pay more to upgrade to a bigger room, and the staff was very helpful to help us to move the luggage etc. The new room is very spacious and the... More

This is lovely B&B in the heart of all the action in Florence. As with most things, it is withing walking distance of awesome markets, the beautiful bridges, and the main piazzas of the city. The breakfast was really good and service very helpful and friendly. Our room was very clean and quiet. Not much of a view, but we... More

The hotel was only a couple of blocks to the train station and centrally located to everything in Florence. It was clean and offered a nice breakfast and happy hour for the guests. When you enter, there is a flight of stairs that you need to take (with your suitcase, no lift from here) to the lobby. I understand that... More

Staying in San Lorenzo

Neighborhood Profile
San Lorenzo
San Lorenzo’s lively merchants shout out from behind stalls with an array of products in one of the most traditional neighborhoods in Florence. Different ethnic groups join together in the large outdoor market of San Lorenzo and in the Central Market, a vast multi-floored building. Visitors are bound to fall in love with this area and in particular, with its variety of food, especially those focusing on Florentine dishes as well as international selections. Nobody leaves San Lorenzo without a shopping bag in hand or with an empty stomach.
