We found a real gem for accommodation in Florence. Very reasonable price for the busy summer season, brilliant air con, house keeping everyday and friendly staff. The breakfast (continental) was lovely and plenty of it including beautiful coffees. Easy 5 minute walk to the duomo, 2 minute walk to David. 10€ taxi from the train station was also a bonus.... Absolutely wonderful family-run hotel located steps from the Duomo and major sites. The hosts are fabulous, extremely helpful in all areas from sightseeing ideas, to setting up appts or finding a location to mail packages home :) The breakfast is wonderful and the wifi consistent. The rooms are large for European standards with air conditioning! This is THE best place... More

Hotel colomba was one of our favorite hotel in italy. It's centrally located, family-run (under the watch of charming Rosanna), clean and providing really great service. Location: The hotel was a bit hard to find (we walked past it several time but didn't see the sign!) but once we found it - it was all good :) It's a block... More

Hotel Colomba was my favourite hotel in my 4 weeks in Europe. The hosts were wonderful and made my husband and I very comfortable. Listening to someone who spoke perfect English with an Australian accent (& sense of humour) certainly helped. Our room was very large and extremely clean. Breakfast was delightful. The hotel is centrally located and within walking... More

I don't really know where to start with this review as there were so many good things about Hotel Colomba. The hotel is within minutes of Florence train station and is nestled in between good quality restaurants and up market shops. The hotel staff are the most helpful I have ever come across on my travels through Italia. Rosanna and... More

Great location, very friendly and helpful staff who really care about their guests. Within minutes of all major attractions. Great breakfast with amazing cappuccino, some of the best we ever had. Very comfortable rooms and a very clean hotel. Definitely recommend when visiting Florence.

Our study abroad group stayed here for 5 nights at the end of our trip and it was fantastic. Although small, the hotel has a very homey feel to it and the staff are very friendly and helpful. The location is great because of how close it is to the center of town! Most of the staff speaks at least... More

We loved the location of this hotel and found staff very friendly and helpful, however, we dreaded going back to our room as there was a strong ammonia smell, the last day we noticed more of a bleach smell after the maid had cleaned, so I'm assuming she was trying to fix the issue. It is right in the mix... More

This hotel was recommended by a local (Lakewood, CO) travel agent who had been there before. The owners have been operating the hotel for many years. The wife is from Australia and, of course, speaks excellent Australian English :-). She is the boss from what we could gather. The hotel is located on the 2nd floor of a multipurpose building... We just returned to Australia from a months holiday to Europe and spent a couple of nights at Hotel Colomba. We had the best time here! We have 2 children ages 3 and 4 and the beautiful staff treated them like their own. My children keep saying they miss Rosanna, Sabina and Patrizia. The hotel was so well kept by... More

San Lorenzo
San Lorenzo’s lively merchants shout out from behind stalls with an array of products in one of the most traditional neighborhoods in Florence. Different ethnic groups join together in the large outdoor market of San Lorenzo and in the Central Market, a vast multi-floored building.
