My sister and I stayed for 3 nights and we absolutely enjoyed our stay here! The staff were very welcoming and helpful. We had never been to Florence before, so we had a lot of questions but Sabina was able to answer all of them. Our room was pretty spacious and extremely clean. We were on the 3rd floor and... More

This hotel/B&B is in a great location, between the Duomo (10-minute walk) and the Accademia (5 minutes), and is perfect for budget travelers. It met all our minimum requirements with air conditioning (absolutely essential in August!), a small lift to get our luggage to the second floor (third floor for Americans), a fridge, free WiFi, and bathroom. The bonuses we... More

We were there when it was very hot, and the room never got cool. In fact, to try to sleep, my wife opened the door to the mini fridge and set it by our heads. The staff was very helpful on everything else and the location is incredible -- halfway between Michelangelo's David and the Uffizi. If you are not... More

This is a boutique hotel in an historic building. Great location. Many ristorantes, cafes and trattoria. There is a also 24 hour mini mart nearby. We just walk to the attractions. Perfect location. It is 3 star but my family stayed in the family room which is large and clean. We loved the coffee. Thanks to the owner/manager and her... More

We were greeted by Sabine in the front desk, what an amazing lady!! We thought she was the owner because it is unlikely to find an employee take so much pride in a place that he/she works at. She took great care of us, made great restaurant recommendation and where to shop for food and gifts, and Aha!! how much I... More

Friendly staff, clean, inviting and very comfortable. Convenient location for both the train and the sights, and lovely owners who were able to help us with every question we had. Bed was comfortable, air conditioning kept the room cool even on 100 degree days.

Choose this hotel if you want the best value for your money. The Duomo is a 5 minute walk from the hotel and a 10-15 minute walk from the train station depending on your luggage situation. The staff were incredibly helpful upon arrival explaining all the sights around Florence and where to eat around the area. The continental breakfast is... More

My family and i stayed here about 2 years ago and when i decided to go back to Florence this year, i didn't question where to stay! The hotel is great, breakfast is nutritional & good variety, rooms are always clean & great location... BUT the staff, especially Rosanna & Sabina are so welcoming and make you feel like you... Staying in San Lorenzo

Neighborhood Profile
San Lorenzo
San Lorenzo’s lively merchants shout out from behind stalls with an array of products in one of the most traditional neighborhoods in Florence. Different ethnic groups join together in the large outdoor market of San Lorenzo and in the Central Market, a vast multi-floored building. Visitors are bound to fall in love with this area and in particular, with its variety of food, especially those focusing on Florentine dishes as well as international selections. Nobody leaves San Lorenzo without a shopping bag in hand or with an empty stomach.
