We stayed in 3 star hotels in Naples, Florence, and Rome. This by far was the best 3 star hotel out of them all. It made it feel like a 4 star hotel compared to the others. Great view next to the piazza. Amazing central location, making it a quick walk to anywhere you want to go. Super short walk... More

Fantastic location, very handy for train station & Duomo. Everything in Florence is walkable from here. Receptionists were incredibly helpful with our missing luggage, even pointing out best places to shop for emergency clothes purchases. Wifi works brilliantly in rooms, unlike some hotels. If I have to be picky, the breakfast could have been a bit more substantial, but there... More

What a wonderful hotel in Firenze!!! We loved our stay. The room was excellent, the breakfast superb and EVERYBODY of the staff was so very friendly and helpful. Thank you all for a wondeful stay at the Domus Florentiæ. This hotel is very close to the old city. Just about everything is in walking disctance, but the hotel is a... More

Stayed three nights. Unfortunately we got the dreaded room 110! Otherwise my review would have been better. The stench of this room spoiled everything else. It was a good size room and great bathroom with powerful hot shower. Nice and quiet. BUT what is that smell?! Sewage? Water leak? I don't know but it was overbearing. We didn't ask to... More

We stayed in this hotel in October 2012. The hotel is actually the first floor of a building. The room was big enough, looking at the garden of the church next to it. The breakfast was limited but very delicious. The coffee was great! The hotel is close to everywhere. We never used any transportation. The only problem was, in... More

Located right on the Piazza degli Ottaviana and next to the Basilica di Santa Maria Novella you are right in the middle of history as you open your window each morning! The station is a few minutes away- and the Dome about 5 to 7 minutes away. The hotel traces itself back to the 1600's and the rooms are full... More

We recently just got back from our first trip to Italy and stayed the the Domus Florentiae-it was in a perfect location! 5 minute or less walk to the train station, 5 minute walk to the Dome, near everything! It felt very safe. The rooms were very clean. We stayed in one of the two rooms up the stairs-there wasn't... More

This hotel was recommended by our travel agent, T. Anderson at AAA in Lexington, KY. It was an excellent recommendation for our short visit in Florence. About 5-minute walk from SMN train station, on the tiny passage just east of the church of Santa Maria Novella. Small entrance, but well marked and easy to find. Reception staff were very helpful,... My husband and I recently stayed at Hotel Domus back in May. We were referred by a close friend who travels frequently. We were happy to find that it was so close to the train station and in a safe location. Our room was big with a spacious, clean bathroom. From the pictures posted, the room looks dated but we... It is hard to fault this hotel for things outside of its control. The experience we had was mostly positive. Our room was lovely and charming. It was quite large and appealing. The bathroom facilities were nice and they even had slippers for us to use. There was an inroom safe, reliable wifi, and the breakfast was pretty standard to... More
