Located in a prime tourist spot minutes from the Ponte Vecchio and Uffizi this guest house is quite unique. Stairs and a lift take you from street level to the fourth floor of this large town house. Our room was quaintly styled and well appointed with everything well tended and spotless. We had views over rooftops and down to a... More

We were advised to book this venue when in Florence and what a good suggestion. The accommodations were excellent and the location was nearly in the middle of everything we wanted to do and see while in Florence. The quaint breakfast room afforded guests a nice selection of light breakfast items and a place to relax and enjoy a glass... More

The location is absolutely perfect. Less than 5 minutes from Ponte Vecchio, Duomo, Uffizi, Palazzo Vecchio etc. A nice stroll to Piazzale Michaelangelo. Next door to a bar that shows the football; UK and European. Nice piazza with markets nearby. The hotel itself is a traditional building with attractive decoration. Room is well sized, generous size bathroom. All traditional. Facilities... More

Hotel Cavalcanti is very well placed in the centre of Florence, in a quiet location but within easy reach of the Duomo and other sites of cultural interest. There are also many restaurants within easy reach. This is more like a private apartment than a traditional hotel with excellent facilities including a delightful kitchen /diner where guests are able to... More

We stayed 4 days in Florence and our accommodation was lovely. The location was perfect right in the heart of the city. The owners were very hospitable. We would certainly recommend this to anyone staying in Florence.

We stayed at this beautiful B&B for 4 nights earlier this month. The lovely Eiko, a Japanese language student, welcomed us and showed us around the facilities. She gave us a map with several eateries, points of interest and supermarkets highlighted in different colours, to help us orient ourselves in the maze of streets of Florence. The "Room of Plenty"... Myself and my Husband went to Florence on a city break for the art and culture, we where not expecting to find a beautiful home from home hotel with superb staff that went above and beyond the call of duty to ensure our stay was perfect. We had a wonderful time in the Florence and staying in this hotel only... More

We had a room with a view in Florence, by the old leather market. Room was clean, and comfortably furnished. This is not a hotel as such and it was nice to be able to use the kitchen to make a drink and there was fruit and pastries available. No breakfast as such. If you are a light sleeper you... More

Of all the B&B-type accommodations we found in Italy, this was the nicest room. GREAT bathroom. Very friendly staff, an incredibly walkable location, and a 24-hour kitchen filled with goodies for the weary traveller.

This hotel is in a few floors of a apartment building and doesn't have a staff around the clock. We checked in the afternoon of 10/7/2014 and immediately out the next morning. When first arriving you'll need to ring the bell on the side of a building to gain access via a door right next to an Irish Pub. Then... More
