We read about the Relais Cavalcante in Florence in a Guardian newspaper review of the best places to stay in Florence. The Relais Cavalcante is a very well priced guest house decorated beautifully and located 2 minutes walk from Palazzo Vechio and the Uffizi, 5 -10 mins walk at most from the Duomo and Baptistery of San Giovanni and the... Great location. Awesome atmosphere and room was comfortable. We had a twin room and the only advice I'd give is if your a tall person that the beds might be a touch too short for you. Otherwise the owner was great and we took her advice about restaurants and possibly the worlds best ice cream!! Florence is beautiful and staying... More

We stayed here for 5 nights and had a superb time! The room was lovely, the bed comfy and the mini fridge useful. The bathroom was also great. Although breakfast isn't provided, the cakes, croissants and biscuits on offer in their kitchen area was more than enough to satisfy our breakfast needs and coffee could also be made. Also, the... There is only a bed under the Brunelleschi's dome or in the middle of Piazza della Signoria that could be more central than Relais Cavalcanti.....and neither of them would be so quiet! Despite the bustling environment my room (form which I could see the Palazzo Vecchio's tower), thanks to the double-double windows, was very quiet. The price is rather steep,... More

In June 2014 we stayed 5 nights in Relais Cavalcanti. Our host, Anna, were very welcoming and helpful. The location was perfect and our room was large and comfortable. We didn't have any problem with the noise in the morning.

We loved the location, the large, well-decorated rooms, the security, the luxurious common areas and even the common dining/snack room. Also it's very well run even though they're not on call 24 hours a day (make sure you're aware of this if it would be a problem for you). The triple-layered windows - two panes of glass and heavy-duty interior... More

We stayed here in September 2013. It was whilst planning our latest SuperbTrip to Italy for July 2014 that we reminised on our lovely stay here. Central, clean, friendly. We selected a room towards the back of the floor away from the kitchen. Consequently, the room was quiet - despite being near the centre and blissfully dark with the shutters... More

We stayed two nights in the triple room (Michaelangelo) which is MASSIVE with a double and a single bed and about six feet between them. Very good triple glazing on the windows keeps out almost all the noise from the pub below - we didn't have a problem at all. Air conditioning is very effective at cooling the room down.... More

This B&B is very centrally located and with easy walk to most of the Florence attractions. It is very clean and modern internally, with a lift after a few steps up from the street. The advice and help given was marvellous and greatly enhances our two and a half days of stay in Florence. The breakfast room is well equipped,... More
