This is a beautiful mansion set in its own charming grounds. The garden is lovely and very quiet with a pool, though we didn't use this. The rooms are clean and functional with a slightly odd decor, the bathrooms are perfectly fine although the shower is over the bath with just a plastic shower curtain. Just one large drawer for... Good location, average accomodation, average breakfast. The people that ran the hotel were the rudest people I have ever met and didnt change at all during our stay which was really dissapointing as it put a bit of a downer on our whole Florence experience. We were also charged to use the swimming pool and you had to pay to... More

Having read some of the reviews I was expecting the worst so I was pleasantly surprised to have had a good stay at the Hotel Royal. I was leading a group of high school students and adults and was pleased that they all enjoyed our stay for the two nights we were here. The best thing going for this place... More

Stayed here for four nights, Room was spacious and clean with a lovely balcony overlooking the garden. The breakfast was standard continental fayre and very acceptable, self-served in a light and airy dining room. The staff were lovely and Francesco in particular was helpful and amusing! Would certainly not hesitate to stay there again in the future, Would suggest anyone... More

An old palazzo that was turned into a hotel. Some rooms are nice, some other are tragic. I even found a moulded wall in one room. The interior is rather dated. Nice breakfast and a great backyard though...

This is a charming hotel in a beautiful 200-year-old refurbished palazzo. The staff in reception were very friendly and helpful. and Francesco in particular was always ready to help with any problem. The rooms were clean with nice traditional fittings. It did surprise me to discover that they don't change the towels everyday, so I wouldn't throw your towels on... More

I visited this hotel in October 2013 with my girlfriend and niece. The hotel is a little gem, very close to the heart of the city with nice grounds and real charm. The staff were fantastic especially Francesco who recommended some excellent restaurants and could not have been more friendly and helpful. The location is a short walk from the... More

Our bible and rating standard is the Trip Advisor. This particular hotel had not rated as highly as others but could accommodate 5 rooms at a reasonable cost and looked OK. One of the main criticism that we could find in the reviews appeared to be the unhelpfulness of the staff. Our experience was a pleasant surprise. All the staff... More
