Hotel was quite hard to find at night : hotel is located in one floor without no own enterance or sign. Room was spacious and old-fashioned . In large bath there was window . Air condition worked well. Bed was good. There was fridge and kettle in the room . Breakfast served in small but cozy room. Breakfast was basic... More

My friend and I are currently checking out of the hotel and I wanted to review this place immediately so other travelers can make a good decision. I really enjoyed staying at this hotel. My friend is British and I am American. Everyone was very kind, welcome, and spoke very good English. When we had tickets, reservations, etc. to print... More

A kind of project is to get the bags to drag the layers, but good help is the world's smallest elevator. The reception lady, Berna was in full swing and we received assistance to all our questions. Our room was really comfortable and home-like. There was a balcony which was a very nice extra. Balcony chairs could have been little... More

Dear Mallo_Pah, thanks for the kind words that you write... We are all pleased that you were good at the Hotel Berna and that you enjoyed the room with the extra balcony. When you stayed, we had not yet put all things in the balcony. Now there are chairs, table, ashtray, and we hope that new plants will flower soon.... More

Old rooms, no good walls (you hear sounds of the neighbours) , poor bed and the reception told us that there is fire danger because they have old electricity and that is not done ! They also have a bleu light at night and that looks like a stripclub ( see picture !)! Too little elevator and that for a... More

Why is this little gem only 2 star rated?! Wouldn't normally look at a hotel with this rating but so glad my friend did! Room was a good size, and we loved the decor, please don't "improve" it! It was 30 degrees in Florence this week and the aircon in our room gave up the ghost. Lovely, lovely Nadia on the front... More

Just got back from a 2 night stay. Good points are definitely the staff. Very helpful and friendly. Rooms were large. décor a bit odd and tired but then its a 2 star budget hotel and for the price it was excellent value. Breakfast was standard tourist continental. Please get a better toaster! Its on the 4th floor and there... More

Stayed for three nights with family of five. Room was decent size (kids are young so able to share a bed). Very friendly and helpful staff, clean and bright property. Extremely close to rail station which was good for us, but very easily walkable into town. Only downside was very small Lucy in the building but didn't bother us. Would... More

I was very impressed with my stay at Hotel Berna and in particular with the great service Nadia offered (I was leaving very late at night and she allowed me to leave my bags and stayed until after 9pm when I collected them). The room was good with nice quirky décor although a few things were in need of fixing.... More

This is a very nice B&B close to everything!! The staff very helpful & friendly, room classically Italian. Breakfast very good in quaint room. The only issue we had was finding it! I stayed here for one night but impressed by the friendly stuff and stylish room. This place is quite close to the train terminal, but takes time to find. You can have in-room breakfast, the food is not bad.

San Lorenzo
San Lorenzo’s lively merchants shout out from behind stalls with an array of products in one of the most traditional neighborhoods in Florence. Different ethnic groups join together in the large outdoor market of San Lorenzo and in the Central Market, a vast multi-floored building.
