I stayed at Berna on my 3 nights trip to Florence. This was my first time. Arriving at the SMN train station, it was very close to reach Berna. I got a little lost, though, because I had no idea where it was located. By the time we arrived and checked in, the reception was marvellous. She was very welcoming... More

My stay at Hotel Berna has made my trip to Florence even more memorable! The hotel is just next to the Firenze S.M.N train station and about 5-7mins walk to the Accademia and Santa Maria del Fiore. The room was clean and spacious with an attached bathroom. The bed was comfortable. The decor of the hotel has a very artistic... More

We stayed here 13th/15th Sept 2015. The lady at reception was so friendly, as were the other staff. We were given a huge room, which was spotlessly clean. Breakfast is basic, but good. The location of the hotel couldn't be better, two minute walk to the main railway station. Would definitely stay here again and highly recommend!

Located just by the station (and next to a supermarket) this small hotel on the 3rd floor (there is a small elevator) is in the perfect spot. Within minutes you can reach the city center. The staff was friendly, the breakfast ok (cereals, white bread with jam etc) and the coffee good. We only stayed for one night, but that... More

The hotel is just a 2-3 minute walk from the main train station, Sta Maria Novella. It is in a building with different apartments, some are private I suspect. There is a small lift which makes it convenient especially if you have a big luggage. It is also walking distance to the bus stations of two outlets - The Mall... More

Staying in San Lorenzo

San Lorenzo
San Lorenzo’s lively merchants shout out from behind stalls with an array of products in one of the most traditional neighborhoods in Florence. Different ethnic groups join together in the large outdoor market of San Lorenzo and in the Central Market, a vast multi-floored building. Visitors are bound to fall in love with this area and in particular, with its variety of food, especially those focusing on Florentine dishes as well as international selections.
