We had the pleasure of staying at Villa La Sosta for 3 nights while visiting Florence and consider it the most comfortable of all the places we stayed over our 2 week vacation. Guisy is the owner, a warm and friendly hostess who makes you feel right at home. The villa is a beauty, nicely set back from the main road,... more

Ditto to the other review dated October 2008 since we are the other couple who traveled with Bob & Renee. If you have a car it is one of the few places you have free parking within the city limits. This is an exceptional B&B and the hosts are the best! more

My wife and I traveled to Florence to stay at Villa La Sosta for one week. We had a great trip overall, so let us give you what we figured out over there. We rented a car at the airport to drive around the Tuscany area, along with our trip to the Coast and Rome. The Villa has free parking... more

I stayed at Villa la Sosta for 3 nights recently during a solo trip around Italy and I cannot recommend it highly enough if you are looking for warm, genuine hospitality in a graceful, extremely spacious and quiet villa in a residential area within walking distance of all the sights of Florence. Giusy was so friendly and helpful when I... more

This is an interesting B&B run by a very helpful lady but it needs some tlc - and you need to be fit to walk back up the hill after a hard day's sightseeing, although there is a bus service which is worth using. Our room was a good size but the shower area in the bathroom needed refurbishment to... more

We stayed there for 6 nights (March/April). The villa is quiet and comfortable. The staff frames a lovely family athmosphere. The ground flooor is in villa's owners use and it is furnished like a family library and with some of exotic products of nature and artefacts. The rooms are clean with everyday clean-up. The enjoyable expirience is the common rest... more

This review is a bit late. My mother and I stayed at Villa La Sosta in October 2008. The loacation was great only a short bus ride to the center of the city. The room was nice, although the bathroom was quite dated. The breakfast was fine. The owners, Guissy and Antonio were lovely hosts. They arranged all of our... more

My wife and two friends stayed at Villa La Sosta for 3 nights in early October 2008. The rooms were very big, clean and very comfortable. The private, gated drive made it easy to come and go with our car or on foot. But what really made this 1820 villa so charming and memorable were our two hosts; Antonio and... more

My husband and I stayed at Villa La Sosta for 3 nights in October. The family was so welcoming providing us with directions, restaurant recomendations, bus tickets, and maps to attractions while we were there. The rooms were big with nice linens and a great historical home feel. Bathrooms had all the modern touches. We woke to a great European... more

This is a lovely villa on the outskirts of Florence but only a short bus ride from the door to the centre of the old town. We stayed for five nights in a spacious room and Antonio our host could not have been more helpful. He supplied bus tickets at the cheap rate and booked gallery tours for us as... more
