We loved Soggiorno Battistero. It's a bit of a walk with luggage from the train station, but we were rewarded with an unbeatable location in the heart of Florence. Our room faced away from the main piazza, so our stay was peaceful. Church bells were a welcome bonus! The building was installing an elevator when we visited, so I assume... More

Six years ago my daughter and I stayed here and had a wonderful experience. This year when my husband traveled to Florence with me, there was no question where we would stay. First, the location is perfect, directly across from the Baptistery and walking distance to all the wonderful places you will want to visit in Florence. The central location... More

This place has the perfect location. It faces the Baptistery and is caddy corner to the Duomo. It is a 15-20 min walk from the train station and is adjacent to Via Calzaiuoli which leads to the Accademia and then to the Ponte Vecchio. We got a room that faced the inside and was therefore quieter though we forfeited the... More

You can't beat the location and the view! It is a short walk from the train station, easy to find with Kelly's instructions. Short walk to both the Uffizi and the Accademia, both of which Kelly had reserved admission times for us in advance of our arrival. The room was nice, not big but clean and comfortable. Our bathroom was teeny-tiny... More

We stayed in a great room with a view of the Duomo. You cannot beat the location and the price of this hotel. The breakfast was nice, bed comfortable and the noise canceling shutters were amazing! Kelly helped us book tickets to the Academia and was very helpful and friendly. Just recommended this place to a friend of mine. Loved... More

A 2 night stay in February 2013 Location; The hotel was in the main square opposite the cathedral/duomo and within a short walk from the main tourist attractions, so an excellent location for those wanting to be central. It was on the third floor of a large communal building which wasn't clearly sign-posted. It wasn't difficult to find, but it... More

We stayed 3 nights at Soggiorno Battistero in December 2012 and it was great! Yes there are stairs (68 stairs so if you have trouble with stairs this is not the place for you ) but it is really part of the experience of staying in this great old building. A view of the Duomo from our window, Wow! Breakfast... More

I stayed here 2 nights (11/24-11/25/12). Soggiorno Battistero B&B is ideally located. The owners (Kelly and Lucas) are very friendly and trustworthy. I read reviews before staying here...very positive. I had no problem finding this place or with my stay. I read others mention the stairs issue, on 3rd floor, no lift. It did not bother me a bit, but... More

We stayed at the b&b two nights. It is located in the piazza del duomo, about a 5-10 min walk from the Uffizi Gallery and the Accademia. Rooms have a view of the baptistery of the duomo and the square. The rooms themselves are basic, but large and clean. The owners, who speak fluent English (as well as Italian), were... More

My wife and I stayed there in September of 2011. We really, really enjoyed our time in Florence. This B&B could not be located any better. Our room faced the Baptistry and had just amazing views. The windows were very much sound proof and couldn't hear a thing when closed. If you don't mind the style of a European B&B... More
