We walked from the train station in Firenze to this B&B in Piazza San Giovanni--across from the Baptistry, a stone's throw from the Duomo! Beds comfortable, room very clean; breakfast was so-so, but being in the center of activity in Florence more than compensated for that.

We had a room for 3 (Mom, Dad and 20-year-old daughter) with a view of the Baptistery and Duomo. The location could not be more ideal – to open the window and see the Duomo’s massive and multi-colored façade was wonderful. (Unfortunately, during our visit, the Baptistery façade was undergoing a face-lift and was shrouded in construction scaffolding, but the... More

Our stay was over Mother's day weekend. We opted for a quieter room over having a view and were given Room 6. No noise at all. Spotlessly clean. Antiques in the room were a nice surprise. Bathroom updated, but tiny as so many are. Elevator, so no lugging baggage upstairs. Explicit directions from the bus/train station. Luca was there running... More

We stayed three nights, arriving in Firenze early morning. Walked easily through empty streets with luggage in tow, from train station. Could not get into our room til later, but had luggage minded and put in our room while we started sightseeing. Manager gave us really good advice about sightseeing, and also arranged tickets to Academia and Uffizi (MUST do... More

What a wonderfully quaint hotel! Super clean! The owners are extremely friendly & go out of their way to make their guests comfortable. Conveniently located to popular sights & shopping. The square below the hotel is entertaining & busy, however, the sound proof windows block out the noise when you're ready to retire. My husband & I plan to return... More

The view is amazing. In Room 1, the Baptistry almost filled the window and if you looked to the right, you could catch a corner of the church. Part of one window had a little roof obstructing a small part of the view, but I thought looking at the tufts of flowers growing there and the birds stopping for a... More

We stayed at Soggiorno Battistero for three nights in March and had a lovely time. We booked pretty early and got an amazing view of the Duomo and piazza below. Although the square was highly trafficked (understandably) we had no problems with noise at night. And the location is ideal, very central. We walked everywhere--the Uffizi, the Boboli Gardens, Santa... More

The killer view is unmatched. The breakfast is delivered promptly and courteously. The hosts are patient and kind and very willing to help out the first time traveler or the seasoned pro (me) with suggestions. The location cannot be beat. A nine minute walk from the train station. 13 minutes to Santa Croce. Piazza della Signoria and Repubblica are so... More

My husband and I stayed here in December 2013. We were a little hesitant since many reviews warned it is on the 3rd floor and there isn't an elevator. Turns out, an elevator was installed about a year ago so don't worry about having to haul your luggage up 3 floors. It was an easy 10 minute walk from the... More

My husband and I spent 3 nights here in September 2013. It is an easy walk from the train station and very convenient to most all the sights in Florence. The room is simple but clean. The view is amazing. Directly across from the Baptistry and Duomo. The windows are soundproof so no worries about noise from the piazza below.... More
