We stayed at Hotel Lombardi from 9-11 June 2014. The Hotel has a great location being close to the train station and the main tourist area of Florence is all walkable from the Hotel. It's a quiet and comfortable Hotel with Private bathrooms, which I believe are at a premium in Italy. :-) I'm particularly grateful to Mr Vincenzo who... More

This is a very nice little hotel, easy walking distance to the train station yet on a fairly quiet street. It has an elevator - a nice plus if you have heavy luggage as we did. The rooms are well-kept and comfortable. The breakfast room is bright and cheerful and offers the best cappaccino you ever will have. The people... More

For a simple, comfortable, no-frills stay in Florence, this place is just right. Very good location, a few mins walk from the train station. The staff are very friendly and helpful. Breakfast is included but this is quite basic (mostly breads with spreads and cereals). The rooms are quite spartan but spacious and comfortable. There was no bath but a... More

I am traveling alone so I was put in the single room which was smaller then a child's nursery. The washroom was super cramped. The bed was short even for me to stretch out on and I am only 5'3. The room was clean but the entire place was dated. The location was great being so close to the train... More

Everything at this hotel is basic but nice. It is old and that you can see when you enter the door and have to take the antique lift to the first floor, very nice, but the rooms are clean and overall the hotel is neat and clean. The breakfast is basic. The staff are friendly. The location is good as... More

Our main consideration in choosing this hotel is its location and also, according to reviews, the great staff. It's clean and decent, although the bathroom is tiny. Situated in an old building, it has an antique lift. Our room was actually a 3-people room, it's across the reception and next to the restaurant, very convenient. Travelling with a baby, they... It's a clean low cost close to the train station. If that's what you are looking for it is a good option. Since it is a low cost in Florence, the rooms are small and the building is old. But the staff is nice and it has a good location. The breakfast is ok also, not great... The main good... More

Hotel location is at the very central area and only a stone's throw from the S.M.Novella train station! The lift was authentic and unique! Great experience for the younger ones. Absolutely friendly and helpful staff! They would help and answer any of your questions with wide smiles and a bright face. I was impressed with the excellence of their hospitality... More

After our first night, found, on Booking.com, another well-rated hotel (a smidge closer to the train) & would have moved, simply to 'experience' a second pleasant option in Florence. WOW! Breakfast @ Lombardi banished all thought of doing so. Cuppachino served in large colorful cups, croissants stuffed with chocolate, cold cuts and the first FRUIT served in the month that... More
