The place is nearby the main rail station and about 10 minute walk from the dome. It is nothing fancy but it's really clean with a great prices for the centre of Firenze. The staff speak well english and is really helpful. I have to point out the beds which are really comfortable! The breakfast is included in the price... More

I stayed in this hotel because it was recommended by the website I booked my travel from. Do not stay in this hotel. it is scary... all noise can be heard from the lobby. The only convenient thing is that is around the corner of the Italo train station. The room given to us was the one next to the... More

Almost next door to SMN train station the hotel is ideally located. A short walk into the heart of Florence passing many landmarks and attractions along the way. The rooms are basic and functional but good value and ours was very spacious. Breakfast was limited in selection but the offering was plentiful and of good quality. The breakfast room although... The hotel is just a stone's throw away from the SMN train station. The double room we had (room 201) was spacious, although the bathroom was small (we can't barely moved in the shower room). The overlook of the hotel was dated but didn't bother us because for the reasonable price we paid. Just a tip: the elevator is working... More

I picked this hotel for its location. Close to train station and sights. Apparently this hotel caters to “groups.” On my day of arrival I wanted to take a nap in the afternoon after my long travel time. Was woken up by loud talking by what seemed like a crowd of people. When I went to look, I found about... More

Great value, it's nothing fancy but for the price you'll have everything you need and be more than comfortable during your stay. The rooms were very spacious but the comforter on the bed felt like a curtain (literally)... The location was great a 5 minute walk to the market and 10 to the duomo and the heart of Florence. It's... More

Stayed 4 nights total. The room was small but ok considering the price paid. Breakfast was simple. Mattress was old and it should be changed. Air conditionning functionned really well. The hotel is located on the second floor of a bulding. There is a lift. I did not like the bathroom. The shower was small and it was impossible to... More

I stayed at this little hotel from 24 to 27 August. The hotel is in a very old building, and it is just a street away from the main train station. From here I could access to most of the attractions by foot and there are quite a number of eateries with reasonable price. It is worth mention that the... More

We stayed at Hotel Lombardi from 9-11 June 2014. The Hotel has a great location being close to the train station and the main tourist area of Florence is all walkable from the Hotel. It's a quiet and comfortable Hotel with Private bathrooms, which I believe are at a premium in Italy. :-) I'm particularly grateful to Mr Vincenzo who... More

This is a very nice little hotel, easy walking distance to the train station yet on a fairly quiet street. It has an elevator - a nice plus if you have heavy luggage as we did. The rooms are well-kept and comfortable. The breakfast room is bright and cheerful and offers the best cappaccino you ever will have. The people... More

Staying in San Lorenzo

Neighborhood Profile
San Lorenzo
San Lorenzo’s lively merchants shout out from behind stalls with an array of products in one of the most traditional neighborhoods in Florence. Different ethnic groups join together in the large outdoor market of San Lorenzo and in the Central Market, a vast multi-floored building. Visitors are bound to fall in love with this area and in particular, with its variety of food, especially those focusing on Florentine dishes as well as international selections. Nobody leaves San Lorenzo without a shopping bag in hand or with an empty stomach.
