Our "romantic" room was wonderful, large, great view of the Arno, and short walk to many sites. Breakfast, the bar and the terrace were also wonderful... Not to mention the staff that had wonderful recommendations for dining, shopping and any request.

I cannot understand why this hotel is not at the top of the list. It has everything you could want. The location is perfect for (window) shopping in the designer stores , sightseeing and relaxing on the terrace. As others have said sipping a glass of wine while watching the sun set on the Arno is magical. You can even... More

We spent four nights mid July and absolutely agree with all the positive reviews that have been posted. Location is fantastic and close to all that you'll want for in Florence and only a 10 minute taxi ride from the station, about €10 depending on traffic. Our room was modern and spacious and also had a view of the Duomo,... More

Despite the really nice location and kind staff, this hotel was a dissappointment. The room was too small; the toilet did not flush properly; the rugs on the stairs headed to the terrace and breakfast room were old and dirty. On the positive side, the rooftop terrace overlooking Florence was heavenly and the breakfast spread offerred a lot although the... More

There is not a better location in Florence, and the Tournabuoni is a lovely property. Just one block from the Ponte Vecchio, across from the famous Ferragamo store and corporate headquarters, and walking distance to all the sights in the city. We ended up renting a 3 bedroom apartment on the third floor which was fantastic - 3 separate rooms... More

The hotel is in such a wonderful location. We had a wonderful suite on the 4th floor with an inter leading room for our two daughters aged 10 and 12. The room was beautifully decorated and spacious. The breakfast were taken in the dining room, although small, served us well. Florence was beautiful in April. we loved our stay.

I knew that this hotel was good when they emailed me several weeks prior to coming to Florence to inquire whether they could assist with securing museum and restaurant reservations. (Despite having made the reservation on hotels.com). They were helpful, responsive, and followed through. When we arrived, quite late because of an airline delay, the porter escorted us the terrace.... More

Had a really lovely weekend. Amazing roof terrace - very nice, big room on the 5th floor. We found the staff very friendly - nothing was too much trouble. This is a perfect place to spend a long weekend in Florence. As Arnie would say "I'll be back".

Believe the other reviews of this hotel. The terrace views are breathtaking, the rooms glorious and the location just perfect. Comparable with five star London hotels in terms of service, the only thing that let this great hotel down was the food we ordered. We ordered room service to eat on the terrace (before leaving for the airport). Regrettably the... More

Antica Torre di Via Tornabuoni is a wonderful boutique hotel in a super location in Florence close to everything, but without the touristy feeling of many parts of Florence. I am a picky traveler and enjoy small, privately owned, and immaculate hotels in a very central location in major cities. My husband and I make our own travel arrangements and... More

Staying in Uffizi

Neighborhood Profile
Uffizi
Every visitor coming to Florence for the first time will immediately identify with Uffizi. As in past times, passing through Via dei Calzaiuoli, you can reach the city center, the Florence that everybody dreams of. In just a few steps, visitors can experience the rare beauty of the capital of the Renaissance. walking delighted across Palazzo Vecchio and overlooking Piazza della Signoria, up to the Loggia of the Uffizi where it is possible to fully taste the talent of the best artists who animated Florence over the centuries. When the sun goes down, there’s nothing better than a walk along the river Arno up to the ancient bridge, Ponte Vecchio. It is full of jewels and decorated by the colors captured in postcards.
