I stayed for 2 nights with my 11year old daughter. Finding the hotel was difficult, the main entrance is awful, you need to go to the 3rd floor to access the hotel reception. The main reception seemed lovely, we were quite relieved only to be told we were staying in the annex building around the corner. Well that was a... more

This was such a warm and comfortable place to stay - felt like home. Internet was free. Breakfasts were fantastic served by 2 lovely ladies. Giovanne the manager was an absolute gem and such a gentleman. And the location - wow - across the road to main station and round the corner to bus depot. What more could one want! more

This hotel comes in two parts, one very close to the main train station (exit right, half block or go to the post office side, and cross the street) and its 'annex' which is located around two corners in the same block. Like many hotels, you will need to carry your luggage up a few steps, then there is a... more

The Aurora hotel in Florence is a small hotel located on the third floor of a building adjacent to Santa Maria Novello train station and about a 15 minute walk to Il Duomo so its location is good. The hotel itself is fairly basic but it is clean and the people who work there were very nice, so for me... more

My wife and I traveled to Florence via train from Rome on April 24, 2009. The hotel was right next to the station, clean and inexpensive. We definitely would stay here again. more

We stayed in this hotel for a night. It was very clean and the decoration of the room worth its money. The were two annoying thigs. First the thin walls. We were exhausted from our trip but we couldn't sleep because we could here the people from the next room! In the next morning the breakfast was until 9:30. We... more

We have just returned from our annual visit to Florence and once again chose to stay at the Aurora. Why? Good value, central location, helpful and attentive staff, and, oh yes, the great coffee at breakfast. Situated directly across from the main rail station, SMN, the location is a boon if you plan to travel outwith Florence to sample the... more

This hotel is located very close to the station. So therefore area can be busy at peak times. Close enough to walk to all major sights. Hotel is very good for the price . Lovely clean rooms, Fresh towels daily and comfortable clean beds. Nice friendly staff. We were located in the hotel's annexe building which is just around the... more

I booked this hotel for 2 nights in April. I was arriving from Rome at 10:30PM and would be taking a 6:00AM train to Pisa the next day and chose this hotel because it is across from the train station. I booked a deluxe room for 125EUR that would be in the main building. I did not want to be... more
