Hotel Perseo was a great find. It's run by a New Zealand woman with her Italian husband. To me, it meant that everything was going to work. And it did. The rooms were clean and airy. The continental breakfasts included cereals, fruit, cheese, ham ... The choices go on. But best, Louise told us about several attractions we might missed... More

Very friendly people, rooms simple but very comfortable. Location ideal, nice breakfast and modern baths. We will stay there again. Nice and quiet as well. Rooms were ready when we arrived at about 1:00pm. Check in very quick and efficient. Our room had a lovely view of the bell tower in the above photo. Breakfast included fruit, croissant, hard cooked... More

Excellent location a few blocks away from the Duomo, but also not too close. Also within walking distance of everything else. The people were phenomenal. I checked in a bit earlier than expected and was given an espresso to unwind while they prepped the room. Also, I paid a 12€ for them to wash, dry, and fold my laundry, a... More

We spend 3 nights at Hotel Perseo. The staff was friendly, helpful and the breakfast was good. We didn't have a view of the Duomo, but this was a clean, comfortable hotel. No nonsense, basic facility.

This hotel has a lot going for it. Firstly there is the location just a few yards from the Duomo in the centre of the old city. Then is there is the reception staff consisting of the owner and his New Zealand wife and one other. There is nothing any of this trio will not do for you including giving... More

I need to tell people how wonderful this place is, the cleanliness, the location, the staff, everything was superb. We felt a true sense of old Italy. Walk out the building to the street and turn to the right, the beautiful duomo (St Mary of the Flower) looms large and is steps away. The old market, the shops, the restaurants,... More

This hotel has it all. The location truly is the best in Florence.. a stone's throw away from the Duomo square, with great staff and spacious rooms. In terms of location, this hotel is in walking distance to all major attractions (Ponte Vecchio, Uffizi, Accademia, Piazzale Michelangelo to name a few). It was also an easy, straight-forward walk from the... More

Small and centrally located, our room was bright and clean. The bathroom fittings were cracked and tired-looking, the shower leaked. Staff welcoming and helpful. Remember to take bottled water to your room as there is no mini-bar, tea/coffee maker or even a bottle of water with glasses as commonly found in city centre hotels. Breakfast was basic but perfectly good... More

Location is perfect as it is right next to the Duomo and not too far from railway station. It has a lift and The people are so friendly and gave us good recommendation on what to do and where to eat. Their suggestions are very good. Breakfast is acceptable and the coffee is good. The only adverse comment I have... More

Hotel is located very near the main train station and just a stone's throw away from the Duomo. Walkable distance to Mercato Centrale, which is a great place to eat. (: The entrance to the hotel is a little dark and hidden away, packed next to Accessorize. There we were greeted with the most queer little very old school lift.... More
