We stayed at Soggiornos for 2 nights, just before Easter 2009. The rooms are clean, but rather small, especially the toilet / shower. For Florence, the weekday price of Euro 80 was ok, but the weekend rate of Euro 120 is a bit stiff. Oscar (the owner) is very nice and helpful and supplies you with maps and the like.... more

Stayed for four nights at the Soggiorno Michelangelo and were reasonably satisfied. Previous reviews and criticisms are quite accurate and the hotel is typical by European standards. The owner, Oscar, is very pleasant, welcoming and will do anything to make your stay more enjoyable. Appears clean (although don't look under the beds/corners) and very spacious for a small hotel, with... more

I booked this Hotel based upon the reviews from this site and whilst not entirley displeased with the stay, I would not use this hotel again. Looking around florence, there appears to be better choices. Staying at the Soggiorno Michelangelo Hotel, is very much like staying at a distant relatives house - if you like that sort of feel then... more

Tomorrow we have to leave, but we can't say enough good about the Soggiorno Michelangelo, which is more like a bed and breakfast than a hotel. The owners, Angela and Oscar, could not be nicer and more helpful. Our room and bathroom are clean; the bathroom is modern. The room is small but gives us (a married couple) all the... more

My girlfriend and I stayed at this place for a few nights in December 2005. We've travelled a lot and we love the bed and breakfast approach - more personal than a hotel and often just as comfortable. This place is a prime example of that. It's charming, personal and comfortable. It feels like a real Italian home - right... more

We stayed in this B&B for a 3-day weekend, and thoroughly enjoyed it. The B&B was great value for the money - much better value than other more expensive hotels we have used in Florence. The previous reviews were right - Oscar is a great host, lives on the next floor and is available 24/7 by internal phone. The B&B... more

enjoyed our stay at the soggiorno michelangelo! Oscar was very nice and accommodating. The rooms were air conditioned and clean; breakfast was ok considering what we paid for. Would highly recommend this hotel to those who would are on a tight budget but wouldn't want to compromise on safety, cleanliness and quiet time. more

This budget hotel is fantastic! Oscar the owner is extremely friendly and helpful. The rooms are clean, large, have a TV, nice ensuite bathroom, and the breakfast is excellent. There is a buffet laid out where you can get cereal, croissants, biscuits, coffee, juice etc. etc. The location is great! Its literally just a 10-15 min walk till your in... more

We just returned from a great trip to Italy. Before we left, I booked the Soggiorno Michelangelo in Florence by e-mail. We were not sure what to expect for $98 euros per night including breakfast. It is a owned by a dear and very helpful man who immigrated to Italy 27 years ago. He welcomed us warmly and we really... more
