The host, Oscar was very friendly. The location of the hotel isn't very near to tourist attractions but a 15 minute walk to the station from where you can go to the attractions. Rooms were good but furnishing was slightly old.

My friend and myself have been traveling through Italy for 3 weeks now and among the places we wanted to visit is Firenze (Florence), we have mainly stayed in B&Bs and this is one of the best ones I have ever stayed at! The place is only 8 minutes walking from all important areas and 10 minutes from the train... More

We arrived by car and didnt know were to park. Oscar was very friendly and gave us his parkingplace. The room is ok and just 15 minutes walk from, were the big shopping area begins. Oscar is the sweetest person.

Rooms all open with same key. I surprised my next door neighbor in bed! Beds are antiquated and miserable. "Quaint breakfast" is poorly prepared Indian food. Everything smells like curry. Host owners are inhospitable and unhelpful. Worst stay in many years of European vacations.

I usually stay in the "centro storico", but because of a huge price increase in the place I normally stay at, I looked for an alternative. I wanted something close to the Nelson Mandela Forum so I could walk to a concert ther. I chose Soggiorno Michelangelo for that reason and it was a really good price. The hotel is... More

This B&B is like beeing home. Oscar is a great host. The rooms are clean and breakfast is ok. The hotel has a good location, around 15 min walking to the Dome. It is a great hotel to stay in Florence if you are searching for value for money.

We found this B&B through Expedia and it was cheap and seemed cheerful, upon arriving we found it was just that. Although a bit further out of town we didn't mind this as we got to see more of the town. Oscar was a helpful and discrete host and in Soggiorno Michelangelo he has an excellent option for budget travellers.... More

We had a very good stay at Soggiorno Michelangelo! It's a very warm and friendly B&B just a small walk distance from the city center. It is also very clean which is always nice, eh? Our host Oscar was very helpful and always smiling. A good value for money. The only reason we are not giving an excellent rate is because... More

Amazing hotel I had a very good stay there for a week, it was beautiful and easily accessible to the city. The staff was warm and friendly, and the rooms were cozy and private. There was internet stay, and breakfast and the owner helped us find great local food

We stayed at Soggiornos for 2 nights, just before Easter 2009. The rooms are clean, but rather small, especially the toilet / shower. For Florence, the weekday price of Euro 80 was ok, but the weekend rate of Euro 120 is a bit stiff. Oscar (the owner) is very nice and helpful and supplies you with maps and the like.... More
