We had a wonderful time at the Strozzi Palace Hotel. The location could not be better; it provided easy walking to all of the sights in Florence. Also, the hotel's efficient concierge service made booking Tuscany day trips & museum appointments simple. The included breakfasts were also very good. Our non-smoking room was quite large by European standards & very... More

Summary: clean, comfortable and convenient. This is a fairly typical city centre hotel which is a few minutes' walk from all the major attractions in central Florence. It's about 10 minutes easy walk from the rail station. The entrance doesn't do the rest of the hotel justice, consisting of a flight of rather smelly stairs with no lift, but the... More

Room was spacious and the bed was huge! The lift was tiny but a member of staff too the luggage to our room whilst we sorted out parking for the car. We had room 12 next to reception and the breakfast too, which was a bit noisy but made us get up and make the most of the day!If you... More

Centrally located in Florence...easy walks to many attractions. Other reviewers are right about the foul smell upon entry, as well as the TINY elevator...we only had two carry on bags, and only one person could fit in the elevator with the bags. Front desk clerk was friendly, however. Breakfast was just ok. The room was big enough, and the bathroom... More

My room was spacious and well prepared. The daily routine of cleaning and replacing the shampoo and soap etc was done with great reliability and in an unobtrusive way. Given the fact that I stayed for a week this mattered. Staff were friendly and helpful - booked tours, recommended restaurants etc. The entrance is a problem - have to drag... More

Arrived with luggage to see a step of stairs to get to reception. Tired from travel, we lugged all of our bags up. The rooms were VERY small, and seemed dark and tired. Small elevator to get to the rooms from the reception floor. The walls were paper thin - could hear every sound made from the rooms on either... More

Upon arrival we were immediately overwhelmed by the foul smell in the foyer/stairwell from the street entrance that remained during our entire stay. The lobby is located up one level and the small/slow elevator is often very busy. We had mixed experiences with the desk staff and while none were rude, the gentleman that was there for most of our... More

We had requested a quiet room with a balcony - we ended up with the noisiest room next to the toilet for the breakfast bar. There was no natural light - the windows opened over a view of sewer pipes and air conditioning units. The rooms numbered 12 14 and 15 were all side by side - do not accept... More

Florence isn't big by any means but it can be confusing until you get your bearings. The Strozzi is perfectly situated to walk to and from the main station, and all the museums. Not only that it's a shoppers Mecca. My wife also caught the shuttle bus from the Red bus stop next to the station to the designer factory... More
