Great location to main piazza. Good sized room with free wifi and comfy beds and block out curtains! . Breakfast had a basic but good selection and staff were very friendly. Complimentary tea and coffee in the room. Nice to go to a hotel that doesn't smell of smoke too

Stayed 3 nights at this location. Very easy hotel to find and short 10 min walk from Firenze SMN station. Very central location (within 5 mins walk) to most of the major tourist sites. Staff were extremely helpful (Stefano on the front desk was excellent). Room was large and had a huge bathroom. The second bed was fold out and... More

Extremely well located to the central area - seconds away. Friendly staff who are very happy to help you in any way! Well sized room and bed with a large bathroom and special jet shower. Well priced mini-bar as well. Stairs to climb before you get to the reception area - then a very small lift to take you upstairs.... More

We could park out the front of the hotel. Their are a lot of stairs to reception. The staff were very friendly and helpful. The room was a good size with a big comfortable bed. Bathroom was big and clean but no face washer. Breakfast was nice but basic There are many attractions & restaurants with in 100 metres

The hotel is central to the tourist attravtions in Florence. My wife and I toured Italy on our own and had excellent tour operators who dilivered us at he doostep to all our accomodation on this trip. This is important as some places are quite hidden and not easily found-The Strozzi was one of them.We did not find the staff freindly or... The hotel is in Central location. Breakfast was basic but enough to start the day. There were 14 of us all women and our rooms were scattered in different levels. So some nights we gather in one of the rooms to discuss our itinerary for the next day. We kept getting told off for being too noisy. We stayed for... More

This was our first trip to Europe and had read how small the rooms were. Our room was just right for us. We had plenty of room to move around. The elevator to get you to checkin was, however, very small. I had to go up first with 1 suitcase and a bag and my husband came up after me.... More

The room was huge and quite with a lot of storage. The mattress was a bit hard. Didn't like that the elevator did not stop on our floor. Had to climb some very steep stairs to get to our room. Very friendly staff. Breakfast was great. Would stay there again just stay in another room. The hotel is in a... More

We stayed for 3 nights and have had an enjoyable stay. Our room on the fourth floor was clean, big and adequate. Bed was firm but comfy. My only fault with the room was the polystyrene cups and plastic spoons and maybe it was a bit tired and in need of redecoration but that would not stop us recommending this... More

Staying in Duomo

Neighborhood Profile
Duomo
Florentia, as it was called by Latins, is permeated by an eternal beauty spread in all corners of the city. The historic center is characterized by the immensity of the Duomo, able to transport tourists into the brightest age of Florence: the Renaissance. Who does not know the Brunelleschi Dome, San Giovanni Baptistery and the Giotto’s Campanile? Everything is enclosed here and it would be easy to imagine the city as it was in ancient times, with maids walking in the main square and horses carrying coaches. Nowadays, roads are busy with street artists. Rustic Tuscan bakeries give way to fashion shops; just stop for a few minutes in the middle of Piazza della Repubblica to enjoy the colors and sweet melody of the carousel that will bring back great memories from anyone’s childhood.
