The hotel has all you need and if you want to be in the heart of the action, this is perfect! It sits right outside the San Lorenzo Market....the good and bad of this. It is not a peaceful setting and coming from a night in Assisi, this was a bit of a shocker! Still, the staff was very hospitable... More

I think this hotel was okay to stay in, but for the money we paid we could have had something better. The bed is uncomfortable and the pillow was the worst pillow I ever had. Everything is clean but there wasn't anything special about it.. Also, when I had a shower, the water was suddenly ice cold and the other... More

Booked this on spec without doing much research and were very pleasantly surprised by the quality of the offer. An unassuming frontage leads into an amazing building, lots of passages and steps. The staff were friendly, welcoming and knowledgeable. Room had all that was needed and was clean and comfortable. Breakfast offered a wide variety of buffet food, nothing spectacular,... More

Stayed here for five nights Sept 26 to 30th. Small room, no 106, but great for what we needed. Good walk in shower and quiet over the back of the hotel.Very clean and fantastic for visiting all of the main sights, all within walking distance. Friendly and informative staff. Would love to come back again.

This was our 3rd stay at this hotel! Great hotel, great location and lovely staff. Only thing is, the bathrooms need to get rid of the bath and add a decent size shower. Only a 5 min walk to the train station! The breakfast room is clean and tidy with a nice buffet served each morning.

A former 16th century palazzo converted into a small hotel can be a mixed blessing. It can seem quaint, atmospheric and quirky or just frustrating and lacking the advantages of modern design. The best thing about this hotel is its location, very close to numerous decent restaurants and fairly close to the train station. The room was tiny and very... More

Clean and comfortable air conditioned room. Reasonable breakfast. Great location for sightseeing in Florence. Friendly staff in the hotel. Room overlooking the front of the hotel can be a bit noisy however this did not bother us.

I had not been back to this hotel for 10 years, but just as then our stay was excellent. It is located very close to the central market and numerous restaurants, and is within easy walking distance of the main train station. All of the staff were very friendly, the room was clean and comfortable, the breakfast fine, and the... More

This hotel was very clean with a great location and great view. The price was average and I was very excited that they had boiled eggs for breakfast! So close to the duomo, markets, and shopping. Florence is amazing and this place was so central to everything!

Stayed in the Botticelli for a week, it was great. Central location, accessible to everything, so superb. We were in room 210 at the back so noise was not too bad, saying that the bed was so comfy sleep was not a problem, it was particularly hot in Florence last week, but the air con worked fine. Towels and bed... More

Staying in San Lorenzo

Neighborhood Profile
San Lorenzo
San Lorenzo’s lively merchants shout out from behind stalls with an array of products in one of the most traditional neighborhoods in Florence. Different ethnic groups join together in the large outdoor market of San Lorenzo and in the Central Market, a vast multi-floored building. Visitors are bound to fall in love with this area and in particular, with its variety of food, especially those focusing on Florentine dishes as well as international selections. Nobody leaves San Lorenzo without a shopping bag in hand or with an empty stomach.
