A wonderful location, incredibly hospitable and helpful owners. Rooms were clean, communal areas well equipped. Great location, perfect for seeing the more famous locations in Florence. Exactly as described - would stay a again without hesitation.

Unfortunately due to some train strikes in July I found myself in Florence with no accommodation. Thankfully I was able to contact my parents and ask them to help me find somewhere nice to stay for the next evening in Florence - very last minute. Thankfully my parents found this hotel! The lady in charge was nothing but kind and... More

First off, the location of Hotel Scoti is perfect, especially considering the amazingly low price we paid. Nothing was more than a 15 minute walk away in any direction, and even the train station was an easy walk. The location was great, and super safe, located above and around many high end designer stores. The hotel was more of a... More

Centrally located on a lovely street, although it can be hard to find, our experience of this "hotel" is very mixed. The staff were quirky but quite nice, but our room was pretty bad, very run down, with very basic beds and not much room, dark and dingy at the back of the hotel, peeling paintwork, bare lightbulb, smelling of... This is a second time that we stayed in this hotel. Awesome location: one of best streets (lots of high end designer stores on this street - so: clean, secure, well-lit, quiet-er than most others); block away from Arno, 8 min or so walk to train station, 4 min walk to Uffizi, Ponte Veccio. Huge old entry door, tiny elevator... More

The location is excellent, very central. Doreen, the owner couldn't be more charming and helpful. We opted to have breakfast out each morning but it would be good to be able to get a cup of coffee in the hotel. Never mind, there are cafes nearby and a wonderful gelateria.

All the key Florence historical sites are just minutes away by foot. We opted not to have breakfast there and found a wonderful cafe around the corner each morning. It would be nice if there was at least coffee on premises, however. The weather was quite hot and humid so it was difficult to sleep at night even with the... More

I thoroughly enjoyed my stay at the Hotel Scoti. The location was perfect, the room spacious and comfortable in a 16th century beautiful old palazzo. The owner, Doreen, was welcoming and most gracious. I strongly recommend this hotel.

My boyfriend and I recently returned from our trip to Florence last week and I do not have enough good things to say about Hotel Scoti. Located in a fabulous era, right near the Ponte Vecchio bridge and located on the most beautiful street amongst all of the high end stores we could not have picked a better hotel. Doreen... More

This hotel is absolutely beautiful. In addition to your room, you receive keys to the large drawing room (with restored al fresco painted high ceiling) and dining room. The hostess, Doreen, was very welcoming and gave us great tips to avoid museum queues, and could not do enough to make us feel at home. Location was amazing! On a main... More
