Our family of 4 stayed in 2 standard rooms and chose Dei Mori because of the location, which is only a short walk to Uffizi Gallery, Accademia Gallery and Duomo di Firenze. It was so handy to just step out of the door and be in the middle of the shops, the restaurants, the piazzas and the main tourist sites.... More

This B & B is quite charming. The sitting room has comfy loveseats, classical music, a small lanai, tons of tour and history books, and a single serve coffee/tea maker. As there are only 6 rooms, and only the sitting room has reliable wifi, it is a congenial gathering spot. There's also a small frig with sodas and wine on... More

Dei Mori B&B was a good choice for my wife and I while touring France and Italy in 2013. The location was stunning, you really can't find any other place to stay in the heart of old town Florence for the price that we paid. Danny was a very gracious host, extremely helpful, he sat down with us after our... More

My husband and I stayed here in May of 2015. Unfortunately our stay did not start out the best as we had to wait 45 min for someone to show up and let us in. With that said, once we were in and settled, our hostess greeted us with complimentary prosecco as well as several great restaurant/gelato recommendations. The location... More

Dei Mori is located on a tiny square that vibrates at night from the energy of restaurants, cafes and people. Down the block from Dante's house, Dei Mori is very well located and all sights are walkable. Rosana, our hostess, was super! Don't ignore her restaurant recommendations or her suggestion for the best gelato shop. The place was clean, safe,... More

I stayed overnight here in October of 2014. Rosanna was lovely and very welcoming. The room was nicely appointed. Although the bathrooms are private, it is down the hall, which is not atypical in places like that that have been converted. The sitting room was pleasant and airy. My favorite part about the place is how close it is to... More

I loved everything about my stay at Dei Mori! The room was very comfortable, the location was fantastic, and more than anything the atmosphere of Dei Mori is so warm and welcoming that I felt at home as soon as I walked in the door. I also loved the little details that made it inviting and homey, like the way... More

This was our first time to Florence and we could not have been more impressed by Dei Mori. The Rooms and B&B space were so cozy and comfortable. Danny sat down with us one and one and showed us all of the sights we should see on a very easy to read map. He also provided us with a list... More

There was no problem on the checking in because we arrived around 11am. Location was just in the middle of the shops, restaurants and museums - PERFECT! Danny - was absolutely helpful about our itinerary. The most important thing was the breakfast, It was almost perfect. We enjoyed every minute staying here. Wifi was okey. If there's one thing I... We had a late arrival to Dei Mori and admittedly, I was remiss in providing the proprietor details until we were en route. Still, they were expecting us and we were confirmed for a midnight arrival. We arrived and no one greeted us! We rang to no avail...and phoned with no answer upon arrival. Fortunately, we were befriended by locals... More

We note that this review together with the one which follows with the title ‘Good on Paper’ are from two different members of the same party. While they of course exercised their right to make individual reviews we feel that one response will serve both as the issues raised are of course similar. As I look down, interestingly the next... Staying in Duomo

Neighborhood Profile
Duomo
Florentia, as it was called by Latins, is permeated by an eternal beauty spread in all corners of the city. The historic center is characterized by the immensity of the Duomo, able to transport tourists into the brightest age of Florence: the Renaissance. Who does not know the Brunelleschi Dome, San Giovanni Baptistery and the Giotto’s Campanile? Everything is enclosed here and it would be easy to imagine the city as it was in ancient times, with maids walking in the main square and horses carrying coaches. Nowadays, roads are busy with street artists. Rustic Tuscan bakeries give way to fashion shops; just stop for a few minutes in the middle of Piazza della Repubblica to enjoy the colors and sweet melody of the carousel that will bring back great memories from anyone’s childhood.
